The Fiskars Hatchet is a great tool. Its a light-weight axe with a hollow handle which Fiskars claim is unbreakable, but I am sure if you tried hard enough you could break it. The length is 14inches overall and this makes it a very portable hatchet for the woods. It performs bushcraft tasks very well, like making a feather stick, tent pegs or preparing firewood.

i was wrong about the weight it is 5 pounds overal. quick review of my fiskars super splitter splitting axe the few pieces of wood i busted up were oak and i hope yall enjoy the video and tell me what you think i also meant to say that even though the handle is hollow it doesnt jar your hands if u overshoot or if u hit the piece of wood the wrong way and i accualy used the axe as a wedge once and i used the hammerin surfaces to beat on a piece of wood last time we cut up a tree overall a fine axe for 30-35 dollars!

Another video on using the Fiskars Hatchet. This time in the woods chopping through a 6 inch diameter fallen, dead birch tree. The axe performed great as always although it was hard to chop through the tree but that is due to the size of the hatchet. The edge held up well and after I did some chopping my friend went through the same piece of birch with the Fiskars.

The fiskars pro chopping axe is very reliable and an extremely good chopper. This axe is great for anyone needing something they can rely on. Sorry that my chopping is almost out of view.

Before showing the video of myself sharpening my Fiskars Hatchet I want to put it through a series of tasks. In this video I make some feather sticks which for me is a key task and one of the most important in bushcraft for any sharp tool. The Fiskars Hatchet has not been sharpened since before my Survival Shelter Build video where I used it to de-limb large branches of pine.

More brush and timber work... again... dropped the tree with the stihl (would have video'd it but I did the dropping) and the used the Sachs Dalmer 116si to cut it up... I don't like use the 116si for dropping trees as the chain brake is not functional... the fiskars with the larger head is the super splitting axe I got from sears... the one I was using is the is this one : amzn.com this is the 36" one (I said 32 in the video) that I plan to add to the collection : amzn.com
