
Frickley website report. On loan defender Mark Gray snatched an 88th minute goal to give the Blues a deserved point when they entertained Buxton. Peter Knox linked up with Ollie Ryan to lead the Frickley attack, Alex Callery also returning in midfield, but it was the Bucks who threatened first, Adam Billard doing well to hold a 15 yard shot by Michael Towey in the second minute. Knox combined well with Ryan a minute later, with Ryan having his shot blocked and Kelvin Bleau then overlapped down the right and whipped in a cross which was turned behind. A Buxton corner kick in the sixth minute was punched up into the air by Billard and Gray had to head behind, and the Bucks grabbed the lead from the second flag kick a minute later, Mark Reid appearing to glance the ball in from close range. Frickley responded and a well worked raid in the 14th minute saw Ryan Mallon cut in from the left and strike a 20 yard drive just wide of the near post, and Ryan then slipped a pass inside to Knox whose 25 yhard drive swerved off target. Callery sent Knox down the right in the 25th minute and he cut inside but saw his drive diverted off the line. Ryan had the ball in the net a minute after the interval, but was ruled fractionally off-side, while Danny Walsh had an effort diverted off target after 50 minutes as the Blues continued to stretch a well drilled Buxton defence.
