Guitarist Richard Drummie and vocalist Peter Cox formed the duo Go West. Backed by the likes of Austrian keyboardist/producer Peter Wolf and a cast of West Coast studio musicians, they've produced several albums of high energy dance pop. "We Close Our Eyes" is a song by British pop band Go West, composed by both members Peter Cox and Richard Drummie. It was the first single from their debut album Go West. "Missing Persons", also from the album, was a B-side. The other B-side was an "opposite song" called "They Open Their Noses". The 12-inch release featured a remix by Julian Mendelsohn. subtitled the "Total Overhang Club Mix". The single was promoted by a music video directed by Godley & Creme. The "Total Overhang Club Mix" was later included on the 1985 compilation Bangs & Crashes. The standard version appeared again on Aces and Kings: The Best of Go West in 1993. "We Close Our Eyes" spent fourteen weeks on the UK Singles Chart, peaking at number 5 in April 1985. In the United States the single reached 41 on the Billboard Hot 100 and number 5 on the Hot Dance Music/Club Play chart. A remix of the song was released in 1993 to promote the Aces and Kings retrospective. The song was used in the 1985 Italian horror movie Dèmoni. In live versions of the song, the guitar break in the "Overhang Mixes" is often included.

Renowned East Tennessee farrier Tim Hutton narrates this short documentary about the world's only coon dog cemetery. In 1937, "Troop" was the first canine to be buried in what is now known as the "Key Underwood Coon Dog Memorial Graveyard." Located in Colbert County, Alabama, more than 185 coon dogs from all across the United States are buried in this spot. To qualify for burial in this unique cemetery, dogs must meet three requirements: 1) The owner must claim their pet is an authentic coon dog. 2) A witness must declare the deceased is a coon dog. 3) A member of the local coonhunters' organization must be allowed to view the coonhound and declare it as such.
