This is the first "Tips and Tricks" video from GagnonStudio. The quality in this video isn't as high as I had hoped, because it was made rather quickly, but I will work on that for next Saturdays "Tips and Tricks" video. Please subscribe, or Tune in each Saturday. This video explains how to paint grass with an old fan brush. You can use a new fan brush as well, but an old fan brush has a unique shape due to missing and broken bristles. The unique shape makes a nice pattern for blades of grass. Using a dabbing technique and leaving small areas where the dark underpainting can show through creates depth and texture to the painting. The painting was completed with acrylic paint on canvas. Using a small rounded brush accompanied with round brushstrokes makes the branch look more 3 dimensional. Start from where your light source is and make rounded brush strokes to create the detail on the branch. Also, leave small areas of shadows to create bumps, and imperfections in the branch. Apres La Pluie - What does this exactly mean? After the rain? lol Though I'm living in Canada, I'm originally from Korea, so I don't know French :) Well not to be stereotypical or racist or anything, but it is true that getting music sheets and movie clips of Andre Gagnon in Asia, especially in Korea or Japan is way easier than getting them in North America since Andre Gagnon is amazingly famouse in those two Asian countries. I do own 2 books of Andre Gagnon music sheets in them, and have been practising most of Andre's well-known work such as Nelligan, Apres La Pluie, "the flight of a pianist", "Tranquil days","For my sister", and so on. It would be really nice if I could record myself playing those tunes, but I'm not so good so I'll have to think about it :) Sometime I would ㅋ Well enjoy - personally, I don't reaaaaaally like this tune that much cuz it doesn't have the type of melody I like, but still, wonderful :)

He shifted from a classical musical style to a more contemporary style in the mid-1970s with albums such as Neiges. André Gagnon has also composed music for many artists, such as Diane Dufresne (Le 304), Renée Claude (Je suis une femme d'aujourd'hui, Ballade pour mes vieux jours) and Nicole Martin (Mannequin).
