It can churn out between 588kW (800hp) and 735kW (1000hp), all of which is channeled to all four wheels using the AWD system. Standard fuel is petrol but ethanol can be used as an alternative. To stop it running away from the driver is a set of powerful carbon ceramic brakes.

Col du Galibier, Savoie, Hautes Alpes, France
First used on the Tour de France in 1911 the Col rises to 2645m and is often the highest point of the tour. The climb to the top starts at Valloire on the one side climbing 2120m over a distance of nearly 35km. The other way the climb starts at the Col du Lautaret which is already at 2058m and from where the summit is only 8.5km away. The Col is normally closed in the winter. ⒷⒺⓈⓉⓃⒺⓉⓌⓄⓇⓀ① 2011 Nearly two years after the Bugatti 16C Galibier concept was unveiled, a new report is indicating the model has been green-lighted for production. Although rumored previously, Bloomberg is citing two unidentified sources who say the Galibier will be launched in 2013 or 2014 with a base price of approximately 1 million euros ($1.42 million USD). As you may recall, the Galibier concept is a five-door hatchback with sleek styling and a bespoke interior. It featured a supercharged 8.0-liter 16-cylinder engine which likely produced between 800 PS (588 kW / 789 hp) and 1000 PS (735 kW / 986 hp).

Riding over the Col Du Galibier was the highlight of my September 2010 tour of France, the col stands at 2645 metres, starts at Valloire and completes at the Col Du Lautaret. The weather as you can see in the video was amazing, the roads quiet, if you can only ride one high Alpine pass, make it this one! The audio track is the run-on instrumental of Placebo's Swallow the CD version.

Andy Schleck wint de 18de etappe van Pinerolo naar Galibier Serre-Chevalier. Toen Cadel Evans op de pedalen ging staan, liep de voorsprong van Schleck iets terug.Verliezer van de dag is Alberto Contador, die 3.50 minuten verloor op de ritwinnaar. Alberto Conatdor moest in de slotfase het groepje met Cadel Evans en Voeckler laten gaan en is uitgeschakeld voor een vierde Tourzege.

The Bugatti 16C Galibier Concept is a prototype of a luxury sedan which was presented officially in September by Bugatti Automobiles prior to the IAA 2009. A derivative of the concept vehicle is expected to reach the market in 2013. The car is a four seat luxury sedan which shares the W16 8.0L engine of the Bugatti Veyron, but with two superchargers instead of four turbochargers for improved torque. It could be a prefiguration of the future second Bugatti car. Its name is a historical reference to the Bugatti Type 57 Galibier.[2] and to the tradition to give to some of the Type 57 the names of alpine mountain passes, here Col du Galibier. The prototype sports a hood which opens in two parts, similar to the one of the Cadillac Sixteen.

I'm working on it but in the meantime here is some extended footage from that days live show, which in all honesty is better than the highlights show as the stage was so good there just isn't enough time in a highlights show to capture the magnificence of this incredible stage. Riding up the Col du Galibier on my Tiger 1050 on the D902 northbound from the Col Du Lautaret. I had already ridden up the wide, sweeping section of this fantastic pass. This video is the tight, bumpy approach to the summit. Very high with sheer drops and spectacular views.
