Spent much of the day at the beach in Gaza today, a very rare and special day indeed. Vittorio spent much of his time at this beach so it was that many people expressed their love and respect for him, as virtually every Palestinian I meet does. I also surfed for the first time in about 13 years; or at least I tried. Was an absolute joy to be in the sea and to surf in Gaza is a real honour. The guys I surfed with, Mohammed and Hatem were great, offered me a board the moment I started bodysurfing next to them.
