Shrimp Goby work together partnership life Philippines Anilao Shrimp Goby and shrimp in their burrow entrance a depth of 12m The mutualistic relationship between prawngobies (also known as shrimpgobies) and alpheid shrimps that live together in the same burrow, has been known for many years. The shrimp has poor eyesight. It builds and maintains the burrow while the keen-eyed goby serves as a sentry at the burrow entrance. The shrimp spends much of the daylight hours "bulldozing" sand or rubble from the burrow. Each time it emerges from the burrow entrance, it rests one of its antennae on the body of the goby. If the goby detects danger the posterior portion of its body quivers to alert the shrimp. The goby may also back into the burrow and block the shrimp's exit. If the threat escalates, the goby will dart straight into the burrow.

Goby and Shrimp Mutualism

TRAINING REVIEW AT GOBIES Reccomended level to train - Mids 80s to Late 90s (For brawler), Can be earlier for some PROS - Can be great EXP if you put your head into it - A fun and innovative way to train, killing houses then killing everyone inside the house is different - In the water so you're able to swim away from your troubles - Won't use alot pots if you kill properly(Brawlers only) - Easy to find a free map 24/7 - Only 3 maps from town - Close to nearby towns, therefore you're able to Pap or PPQ whenever you're bored - Uses full advantage of Stun Mastery, Energy Charge and Energy Blast - Great for those who took the stun mastery build - Once you kill a goby house, gobies will fly out in groups of 6, if you can use a mobbing attack once you explode the house, all the gobies will easily follow you CONS - Will become slow in the mid 90s - Because its in the water, you will lose 10 HP every so often - Its not just killing gobies, you must kill bonefish as well - Gobies and Bonefish both use Super W.Def respectively which causes your damage to 1 - Not the best spot to talk - Pot burning if you dont know what you're doing - Bonefish and Goby houses can deal 1.5k+ damage to you - At times you wont be able to control the gobies and they'll just swim everywhere, meaning a waste of time and potions (Credits to TimeCrisis3) - If you dont got alot of acc, you'll find yourself missing alot TIPS WHEN TRAINING AT GOBIES - You're in water so if you run out of HP pots or you just <b>...</b>
Hi Fin Goby w/ Red Banded Pistol Shrimp vs. Tonga Conch
Hi everyone! This was meant to be a feeding video of my Hi Fin Red BAnded Goby piaired with the mated pair of Red Banded Psitol Shrimps, but it ended up being a battle. My Tonga Fighting Conch came too close to their burrow so the goby freaked out and started swimming! The conch went over the hole and one of the pistols shot him off of it. NO CREATURES WERE HARMED. Don't worry, the conch was fine and is eatinf away at detritus as you read this. Thnak for Watching and I hope you enjoyed it!

Chalk Goby - Gobby
This is one of my newish additions to my new reef tank. His name is 'Gobby' and he's a Chalk Goby. He likes to re-arrange the sand on a regular basis (main reason I got him). Hopefully he won't have feeding problems (apparently common) so i'll keep an eye on him.

I finally got my mandarin dragonet/ goby to eat frozen foods. He's gotten skinny since he's been in the display tank so I may have to put him back in the quarantine tank to fatten him up. He can still hold his own against a green bird wrasse and an odonus trigger! on and there's footage of my cute little algae blenny!

Fire Fish Goby
The Firefish is one of the more popular fish in the marine hobby. It is a magnificent fish with brilliant coloration, a unique body shape, and unparalleled personality. Also known as the Firefish Goby, Fire Goby, and Magnificent or Fire Dartfish, Nemateleotris magnifica has a yellow head, white anterior, and pinkish to orange-red posterior. The dorsal, anal, and caudal fins are highlighted in black. In addition to its striking coloration, the Firefish Goby is also heralded as a sweet-tempered fish with lots of personality. And, because of its small size, the Firefish Goby makes a great addition to the smaller reef system. In the wild, the Firefish Goby is usually found in groups hovering over the reef, harvesting planktonic food that drifts by in the current. The docile, Firefish Goby is timid and in the wild, each will have a "bolt-hole" into which it quickly ducks when threatened. In the home aquarium, the Firefish Goby needs multiple safety zones amongst rocky crags or outcroppings into which it can dart if stressed. This member of the Gobiidae family is generally not aggressive towards other fish except those of its own species. However, a mated pair can live peacefully together. To best recreate their wild habitat, the Firefish Goby requires a 10-gallon or larger system with moderate lighting conditions and a moderate current passing over the live rock "reef." After you see this movie don't run out and get a Mandarin goby if you have a 14 Gal or even a 40 Gal its is taking up a lot of time and money to train him. Read a lot!

a couple of my brackish water pistol gobies. If you happen to know their scientific name could you let me know? Ive been trying to find more info on them. In any case they've been doing pretty well in this tank. They live with a couple endlers/normal guppies in a 10gallon aquarium filtration used- bio wheel specific gravity is at 1.004 pH is about 7.4-7.6ish temp- 75F If you want any other info on the tank I'll be happy to share it with you.

Pure arrow eruption at gobies
This is an experimental video I made while taking on bombing fish houses. I do not know how widely used this tactic is, but I do believe it allows you to kill bombing fish houses significantly faster for both jobs of archers, particularly rangers. Anyway this method is limited only to the houses and any conventional method is by far the most effective to handle the bone fish. The reason why I did use blizzard arrow for one of the houses at the bottom, it is because I have sadly yet to find a suitable way to tackle it from that certain direction. Oh and I apologise for the lack of music and quality. This was done very shoddily, but I hope it helps you guys finding an alternative to combating gobies. My character is a lvl127 crossbow master, devilryarc, from MapleSEA Aquila and this video was taken at 125.

Mated Pair of Engineer Gobies
These guys are in my 75-gallon reef. I started with 3 small babies, and they all grew up together. They used to school together, but as they matured, they dug seperate burrows in different spots in the tank. Then, after re-arranging the tank, these two started hanging out together all the time, even sharing the same burrow.
