
Ooey Gooey Cinnamon Buns 2 1/4 tsp yeast (1 pkt) 1/4 cup warm water 3/4 cup milk, warmed slightly (approx 110°) 1/4 cup butter 1/4 cup sugar 1 tsp salt 2 eggs, beaten 4 cups flour Filling: 3/4 cup brown sugar 1 tbsp cinnamon 1/4 cup butter, softened Sticky stuff: 1 1/4 cups butter 1 1/4 cups brown sugar 1/4 cup milk 1 cup chopped pecans Warm the milk and water together. Pour into bowl, add butter and salt. Stir til melted. Let cool slightly. Add yeast and eggs. Mix together. Add flour, beating well. Dough should be slightly tacky, and clean the sides of the bowl when kneaded. Lightly grease a large bowl. Place dough in bowl, turn so greased side is face up. Cover with plastic wrap and a towel. Place in a warm place to rise, til doubled. Should take around an hour. While dough is rising, melt 1 1/4 cups butter in saucepan. Add brown sugar and milk, stir til well mixed. Over medium heat bring to a slow boil. Boil 2 minutes. Pour over bottom of greased 9 x 13 pan. Sprinkle with pecans, set aside. Combine remaining 3/4 cup brown sugar and cinnamon. Set aside. When dough has doubled in size, punch down, let rest for 5 minutes. Knead for 2 to 3 minutes, til smooth. Roll out on floured surface til approx an 18 x 14 inch rectangle. Spread softened butter over dough. Sprinkle brown sugar mixture over the surface. Leave a 1/2 inch border uncovered.
