From the 3rd season, 24th episode. Grimlock has to save the entire universe from some spider energy thing that was made by the same jerk who made Unicron. Grimlock is my favorite Transfomer. I love his laugh. The episode is called "The Call of the Primitives" from G1 Transformers. Let's hope they get our Grimlock mostly right in the new movie.

They were really expensive at launch, even more expensive to import, and when they finally hit mark downs they vanished in the blink of an eye. Grimlock was the first one to set off my "I must own this!" radar, but the insane import price held me back. Thankfully he saw a US release as a Toys R Us exclusive, and Grimlock is now mine. Overall, Masterpiece Grimlock is a must buy for those fans of Grimlock that hadn't purchased either of the two TakaraTomy releases. This version is essentially the first TT release using the second release's accessories, for a MUCH cheaper price. If you love Grimlock at all, you'll absolutely adore this figure. If you're just a fan of the Masterpiece figures in general, you still won't be disappointed if you can look past the size issue. Overall a fantastic purchase. Highly recommended. I found these cool pictures of a Live-Action Grimlock, so I thought I'd share them. The last two pictures are the longest for annotations. Just in case you couldn't read the last two pictures, here they are: Weaponry- - High-Powered Flame Thrower capable of melting Destronium - Chainsaw Sword can be superheated and cut through Titanium like butter (stored in tail while in Alt. From: Black Friday It's wacky buddy movie time as Blackarachnia forces Optimus Prime and Grimlock to team up together. Grimlock enjoys putting the scare into the "puny humans" until Optimus convinces him to transform to robot mode. The transform is mostly an excuse to post a bit of Grimlock, and a funny exchange between the two characters. This episode was basically a David Kaye festival, as he voices both Optimus Prime and Grimlock. Meanwhile, Snarl and Swoop still haven't talked. Note that while Optimus Prime and Grimlock's toys are both Voyager sized, Optimus is actually slightly taller than Grimlock. www.seibertron.com

This Transformer comes from the "Binaltech" line sold in Japan. It's like the Transformers "Alternators," except it the body is constructed from metal rather than plastic. Grimlock here is a Ford Mustang GT. His transformation is super tricky, and it took several tries to get the cut you see here.
