This is what the liberal and conservative corporate media has been keeping away from you. The first and only NY gubernatorial debate was held LIVE online and on News12 at the same exact time as the Yankee game. Most New Yorkers did not get a chance to see the debate nor do they know how to find it online. All corporate News coverage after the debate was focused on McMillan's mantra "The rent is too damn high" in an effort to keep the other candidates hidden from your family and tell you the real story of the debate - Barron crushed Cuomo and Paladino hard. If you have not seen the debate yet, you can see it at NY1.com. The following is my personal rundown on all the 7 candidates. In my opinion, Charles Barron truly represented New York more than the rest on this stage. Cuomo and Paladino are exactly the same on all points and when they say "cut out the waste" or "cutting down" anything, they mean your jobs, your pay, your pension, your union, your social programs, and everything that your family and friends enjoy - not big business or their grip on our politicians. McMillan and Davis agree with Cuomo and Paladino on Property Tax, Charter Schools and even the MTA - which is why the corporate media shined the light on them, especially McMillan, as Davis didn't act the part too well. They don't want you to see how ruthlessly and bad Cuomo and Paladino got humiliated on stage [ www.youtube.com ]. Jimmy McMillan (who is not in this video) has gotten all the focus in all post coverage of the first debate in my life time where democrat and republican candidates publicly battle against alternative political parties on the same stage (in NY). It is also the only gubernatorial debate as there will be no more before the elections. It was shown LIVE at the same exact time as the Yankee game, which most New Yorkers watched. Those New Yorkers who later tried to find out how did the debate go, went to their respected news sources and only heard about McMillan and his mantra "The rent is to damn high". No one can disagree with that. Yet, New Yorkers deserve to know more. Well here is the real story of the debate. All alternative parties except for McMillan spoke up against real estate's and Wall Street's Quomo and millionaire Paladino. That is the only reason why McMillan is not in this video, because this is a compilation of every single attack on Cuomo and Paladino, McMillan never spoke up to them. Rather he agreed with both the democrat party and the republican party perspectives on Property Tax, Charter Schools and the MTA. If you still have not seen the debate, it is on NY1,com

California, once the land of endless promise, is now the land of endless crisis. Year after year, the once-Golden State lurches from one budget mess to the next. Sacramento Bee Columnist Dan Walters calls Sacramento's latest budget deal "another mélange of gimmicks aimed at once again postponing the day of reckoning," which means that whomever succeeds Arnold Schwarzenegger as governor must confront the massive task of pulling California back into the black. Enter Tom Campbell, the former Stanford Professor, Berkeley Dean, State Senator, State Finance Director, and US Congressman. Campbell currently teaches law at Chapman University and has thrown his hat into the race for governor, where he will face ex-Silicon Valley entrepreneur Steve Poizner and former eBay chief Meg Whitman in the June 2010 Republican primary. Reason.tv's Ted Balaker sat down with Campbell to discuss what would free California from its cycle of fiscal crisis (hint: limiting spending to the increase in inflation plus population), and why Washington DC's spending spree will almost certainly bring on inflation. Campbell says he's friendly to libertarianism, and talks about studying under Milton Friedman at the University of Chicago. Campbell thinks the Nobel laureate would suggest a "don't just do something, stand there" approach to our nation's recession, and that he would worry about politicians doing something just for the sake of doing something. Campbell clearly shares that concern, especially when ...
