Blackwell gun dealer's firearms & ammo seized - Ponca City News

BLACKWELL — Blackwell police officers and Alcohol Tobacco Firearms agents are still at the Verlin Douglas Bathurst residence, located at 1301 South Thirteenth Street in Blackwell, where officials have collected at least 1000 pieces of evidence. Police Sgt. John Mitchell said the investigation started after Bathurst called his cellphone and was hallucinating. "I could tell something was not right," Mitchell said. Police said they found Bathurst in an intoxicated state and took him for an evaluation. A search warrant was obtained and conducted. Officers found pills, marijuana and cocaine. www.poncacitynews.com
