Large Brass Lecture Gyroscope - gyroscope.com

Due to popular demand we have produced another version of our lecture gyroscope. Based on University gyroscopes from the 19th century the 'lecture' gyroscope adds modern technologies that were not available at the time. This gyroscope is superior to anything else on the market. A rubber starter wheel is connected to a small electric drill (sold separately) to get the gyroscope up to speed (7000 rpm+). Leaving you to do experiments with the high speed spinning gyroscope that spins effortlessly for over 20 minutes.

Eric Laithwaite - gyroscopic gravity modification.mov

His research in later years into Gyroscopes was, and still is, a topic of much discussion within the scientific community. Here, he demonstrates the principles of a gyro using a rather large and heavy wheel. It's spun up to speed with a normal household drill. Gyroscopic Effects on Bicycle wheels. Demo from Mr. Herbert's Science Class.

*Read Before commenting, please. Gyros precess slower at high speed, and with both ends of the axles fixed (unlike in this video), they still precess. I worked on INS Gyros in the USMC on RF4B Phantoms, so am not un-experienced. Challenging my buddy Jeff to balance a bicycle wheel (at the axle on the tip of his finger) had him perplexed till I showed him how. In this simple gyroscopic experiment, I demonstrate how gyros work on a much more visible size than most gyros, making it a perfect science class experiment. It also demonstrates the theory that most bicycles may knife edge a bit to the left at speed, however they will also get more gyroscopicaly stable with that speed. The pull however is slight and you would not notice it. This gyroscopic effect is prevalent on all vehicles with wheels. My Dad ( a science and Math teacher in his lifetime) showed me this experiment when I was 9 years old. I never forgot it and pass it on in his honor. Thanks Dad. The question remains: Does this Precessing direction reverse, South of the Equator, like toilet Bowl Flushes? Please take a moment rate the video, subscribe, and stay tuned for more RC Television shows. Thanks kindly for all your support. Gyroscopic Antigravity

Please watch part 2. There was a loose connection that would cut power to the small magnet gyros once the larger device reached a certain speed. I fixed the problem in the second video. Thanks! Although nothing is proven in this video, I was trying to show how gyroscopes can be used to create antigravity. This much has already been shown by Eric Laithwaite and I encourage interested parties to watch this video here of him. www.gyroscopes.org

Gyroscopic Wave Power Generator : DigInfo

DigInfo - www.diginfo.tv Related Links jstshingi.jp www.eng.kobe-u.ac.jp The Kobe University Graduate School of Engineering presented and exhibited a high-efficiency gyro wave-activated power generation system at the Autumn 2008 Innovation Japan show held in Tokyo. This research was started in 2000 and has included testing in the ocean, but this system is a very unique system that uses the principle of a control moment gyro, which is used in attitude control of the Space Station. When the oscillating movement of the buoy caused by waves and the gimbal rotational frequency are synchronized, a gyro moment is generated, and when this occurs, the gimbal continuously rotates to generate electricity. The University has already acquired patents in the United States, the EU, and Japan, so next it plans to launch a venture company and expand the business for practical applications.

NSD powerball 250Hz gyroscope

NSD powerball 250Hz gyroscope (blue) - I cant get above 12900rpm on this yet, been trying for a couple of weeks - Australian record is 14k odd rpm. Check out Akis for the best at these things. Its an OK grip and wrist workout - its quite fun so its not like a workout per se. Seems to operate on torque induced precession (gyroscopic precession) the gyro rotor spins at 90deg to a circular fame it sits in that also rotates and this is what you accelerate with all the frigging and wobble wanking....
"Antigravity" Method 9 of 15, Magnetic Gyroscopic, Group IIC

GROUP II MAGNETIC (PERMANENT & ELECTROMAGNETIC-DC) Group IIC Magnetic gyroscopic Antigravity Method 9 of 15, Magnetic Gyroscopic, Group IIC Filmed 1991-1996, 9 of 15 methods of levitating an object known to the author John Iwaszko, edited from the video Antigravity the reality made in 1996. The antigravity method shown in this edit, at the time was classified as part of Method 5-Static Magnetic & Gyroscopical Magnetic Levitation which has now been reclassified by the author as Method 9 - Magnetic gyroscopic, Group IIC. This method shown is very spectacular and in the past prior 1983 was considered an impossibility to achieve, as it seemed to violate Earnshaw's theorem that states that a collection of point charges cannot be maintained in a stable stationary equilibrium configuration solely by the electrostatic interaction of the charges. This was first proven by Samuel Earnshaw in 1842. It is usually referenced to magnetic fields, but originally applied to electrostatic fields. Static levitation means stable suspension of an object against gravity. There are, however, a few ways to levitate by getting round the assumptions of the theorem; the method shown is one example of how we can bend the laws of nature. The spinning top can levitate delicately above a base with a careful arrangement of magnets so long as its rotation speed and height remains within certain limits. This solution is particularly clever because it only uses permanent magnets. Ceramic materials are used ...

Hexacopter flight with disk drive gyroscope - Part 3

Trying to optimize the camera stabilization of the Mikrokopter by adding a self made gyroscope to stabilize the camera. The gyroscope is made from a disk drive and powered by brushless controller (blctrl 1.2) attached to servo port 3 of the flight control which can be turned on remotely. The camera is mounted directly in front of the gyroscopic gimbal. Another important part of this setup is the anti-vibration mount of the Gopro camera using Alpha Gel pads. There is no software stabilization applied to this video!

Gyroscopic Wind Turbine

This conceptual design requires a microcontroller, anemometer and stepper motors. Like the J4 model it could be called a robotic wind turbine. At low wind speeds the deflection or movement of the control surfaces is greater. An obvious drawback to this approach is that the stepper motors will use some of the energy. One possible improvement to this design is to use a gyroscopic electric generator which would eliminate the swash plate mechanism. My designs continue to get wilder and that pleases me. HA! Exploring Inertial Propulsion Using Gyroscopic Motion

info: www.intalek.com We are told by the scientific establishment we live in a universe governed by Newtonian mechanics. NEWTON'S THIRD LAW: For every action, there's an equal and opposition reaction. So, according to Georgia State University hyperphysics website: "... All forces in the universe occur in equal but oppositely directed pairs. There are no isolated forces; for every external force that acts on an object there is a force of equal magnitude but opposite direction which acts back on the object which exerted that external force. In the case of internal forces, a force on one part of a system will be countered by a reaction force on another part of the system so that an isolated system cannot by any means exert a net force on the system as a whole. A system cannot "bootstrap" itself into motion with purely internal forces - to achieve a net force and an acceleration, it must interact with an object external to itself. ..." But is this true? Are we being told the truth? What would break the symmetry of oppositely directed pairs of forces? How would we do it? The correct answer is given a closed system that exhibits an imbalance of internal isolated forces in three dimensional space, the same system exhibits a balance of forces in four dimensional space. Could it be that the opposing reacting force component is directed as a torque or moment producing a torsion field that acts antigravitationally? Is the torsion field effect caused by a change in angular momentum ...

self uprising gyroscope at high speed; full run

If you spin a gyroscope, it will slowly sink to the floor. But if you spin it VERY fast, see yourself! This is a TEDCO "Original Gyroscope" lubricated with vegetable oil, winded up with a 120 cm long kite cord (included original cord is too short for such high speed spins) - and given a strong push. It starts with approx. 12.000 rpm which is a circumferential speed of 77 mph. You can watch the full run. It starts with a lot of noise. A considerable air draft can be heard during the first seconds. At 1:22 you see for a few seconds, that the lying but still spining gyro produces some sort of weak propulsion. I think this is due to vibration. This propulsion effect is stronger if the gyro is forced to lie down at higher rpm. Second half of video is just for those who would like to know how long the gyro spins until it stops.

Motorcycle - Gyroscopic Camera Simulation

I wanted to develop a gyroscopic camera like they have for motogp. So until I can engineer a motorcycle gopro mount, I've created a simulation to get me in the mood.. It's not perfect, and I had to crop a decent amount so the gopro 720p video is no longer HD, but I think for a test video that took me an hour or so, it's pretty cool... Oh this video is a clip supplied from my friend riding a 2010 Triumph Daytona 675 @ NJMP - Thunderbolt 5/1/11
