Abdul Ghaffar Agha Herbalist live on atv morning show "A morning with Farah". Herbalism is a traditional medicinal or folk medicine practice based on the use of plants and plant extracts. Herbalism is also known as botanical medicine, medicinal botany medical herbalism, herbal medicine, herbology, and phytotherapy. Sometimes the scope of herbal medicine is extended to include fungi and bee products, as well as minerals, shells and certain animal parts. Many plants synthesize substances that are useful to the maintenance of health in humans and other animals. These include aromatic substances, most of which are phenols or their oxygen-substituted derivatives such as tannins. Many are secondary metabolites, of which at least 12000 have been isolated — a number estimated to be less than 10% of the total. In many cases, these substances (particularly the alkaloids) serve as plant defense mechanisms against predation by microorganisms, insects, and herbivores. Many of the herbs and spices used by humans to season food yield useful medicinal compounds.

Hakeem Olajuwon - Hakeem the Dream

Hakeem Abdul Olajuwon (born Akeem Abdul Olajuwon on January 21, 1963) is a retired Nigerian-American professional basketball player in the National Basketball Association (NBA). Olajuwon played center for the Houston Rockets, whom he led to back-to-back championships in 1994 and 1995. Olajuwon was drafted by the Rockets with the first overall selection of the 1984 NBA Draft. Olajuwon combined with the 7 ft 4 in (2.24 m) Ralph Sampson, to form what was dubbed the "Twin Towers" duo. The two led the Rockets to the 1986 NBA Finals, where they lost in six games to the Boston Celtics. After Sampson was traded to the Golden State Warriors in 1988, Olajuwon became the undisputed leader of the team. He led the league in rebounding twice (1989, 1990) and shot--blocking three times (1990, 1991, 1993). In the 1993-94 season he became the only player in NBA history to win the NBA's Most Valuable Player (MVP), Defensive Player of the Year, and Finals MVP awards in the same season. In 1996, Olajuwon assisted in the gold medal-winning performance of the United States national team and was selected as one of the 50 Greatest Players in NBA History. He ended his career the league's all-time leader in blocked shots. Listed at 7 ft 0 in (2.13 m), Olajuwon is generally considered one of the five greatest centers to ever play the game. Olajuwon averaged 20.6 points, 11.9 rebounds and 2.68 blocks in his rookie season. He finished as runner-up to Michael Jordan in the 1985 Rookie of the Year ...

The Successor - Yao Ming and Hakeem Olajuwon

Hakeem Olajuwon is my favorite athlete of all-time. Let's get that straight right off the bat. I did not make this video, nearly 5 years ago now, to claim that Yao was better than, as good, or even on his way to being as good as Hakeem. I simply wanted to highlight similarities in their games, given that they had so many other similarities (#1 pick in the draft, foreign born, playing center for the Rockets, etc.). The word "successor" does not, in any way, claim superiority. It simply refers to something or someone who came after another. Hakeem was the Rockets franchise center before, and Yao was shortly after. Again, this video was made nearly 5 years ago. At that point, Yao had played in 244 of 246 possible games in his first 3 seasons, and had ONE injury from which he bounced back convincingly in '05-'06. He was steadily improving, and had already proven to be a 22 point, 10 rebound, 2 block per game player. The fact that he has fallen from grace so swiftly in recent years does not falsify any claims that this video initially made. Because it made NONE. Thanks for watching.

Hakeem Olajuwon vs. Spurs 1995 West Final Game 2

I think most NBA fans know what happened here, but just to reset the situation, here's what was going on. The Rockets had gone just 47-35 in a difficult West, but had shocked Utah and Phoenix in the previous two rounds while coming from behind. They stole Game 1 against the deep and powerful Spurs, led by MVP David Robinson and a deep bench (featuring Chuck Person, JR Reid, Doc Rivers, Willie Anderson and Terry Cummings) on a Robert Horry three-pointer. Whatever. Game 1 is always important, but there have been countless times where the underdog took Game 1, only to lose Game 2 and the series (see Bulls/Pistons 1989, Sixers/Lakers 2001). Game 2 is usually where the favorite takes command and gets back into the series. Except Hakeem wouldn't let the Spurs do it. He completely dominated David Robinson and led the Rockets to a 106-96 win, allowing Houston to take control of the series. The craziest thing about this game is that David Robinson didn't play that badly. He started off extremely poorly, however, which allowed Houston to stay in it despite Olajuwon's own struggles. Had Robinson come out stronger, my guess is this would have been a blowout. Instead, Houston was able to stick around, and they took control by the end of the second quarter. Announcers: It's the local Spurs broadcast, so I don't know.

Hakeem Olajuwon Dismantles David Robinson and the Spurs (1995 WCF Game 5)

www.basketball-reference.com Hakeem had 42 points as the Rockets ripped the Spurs to help the Rockets take game 5. David Robinson had no way of stopping Hakeem. Most of this series Hakeem was doing his damage in the paint. In this game Hakeem was striking with jumpshots. Sam Cassell came off the bench and had a huge game. The Dream was the REAL MVP of the season, as this series has proven. Thought I would celebrate my one year anniversary on youtube with a rare but spectacular performance.

Hakeem Olajuwon - 40 pts vs. Jazz (G4 - 1995 playoffs)

Down 1-2 and facing elimination, Hakeem delivers with a big 40 point game. Like usual, completely embarrassing defenders when guarded one on one. This was the first of 5 elimination games the Rockets faced in this playoff run, and they won all of them behind Hakeem who averaged 33/11/5/2 on 55% shooting in those elimination games. Hakeem broke open the game with a huge 27 point first half, while Drexler, who also had a 40 point game, kept the game out of reach with a big second half. www.basketball-reference.com

PART 1 OF2 - 1ST HALF A recap of all the points scored in Game One of the 1995 NBA Finals between the Houston Rockets and the Orlando Magic by Hakeem "The Dream" Olajuwon and Shaq along with highlights of other key moments in the game. This was a good hard-fought game between two of the best centers and three point shooting teams in the league at the time. The Rockets team included along with Olajuwon, Drexler, Kenny Smith, Mario Elie, Robert Horry, and Sam Cassell. Some key members of the Magic besides for Shaq were Anfernee "Penny" Hardaway, Nick Anderson, Horace Grant, Dennis Scott, and Brian Shaw. In the end, Nick Anderson missed 4 crucial free throws in a row to give Houston a chance to tie the game in regulation. Then with Houston down by 3 with a couple of seconds on the clock, Kenny Smith nailed his 7th three pointer of the game to send it into overtime after Dennis Scott was rejected at the buzzer by Robert Horry. In overtime, Scott hit a 3 to tie the game at 118 but then Hakeem made the game winning tip off the Clyde Drexler miss with .3 seconds remaining to win the game for Houston, 120-118. Houston would go on to sweep the Shaq-led Orlando Magic.

Michael Jordan 1998: 40pts Vs Rockets (Clyde, Hakeem, Chuck)

I had forgotten about this game until I stumbled upon it. This was MJ's last game against Clyde, Hakeem and Barkley (aside from MJ and Hakeem meeting during the 2002 season). The veteran gathering brought out some interest in Mike and on top of that, Barkley strongly suggested that he was going to win his last game against him. Well we know what usually happens after someone talks like that. MJ had answers for all three HOFers in this one. Each bucket by any of them was answered immediately by MJ. MJ decided to enter his zone and from then on, the game was reduced to watching his mastery. While the Rockets kept it close until around the 4th quarter, MJ calmly picked his spots and used his incredible basketball IQ to thwart the challenge. What you see here is MJ's perfection of the game. Sure he still could rely on his athleticism but his knowledge of the game was so high that he only needed to use little tricks to get his shots. His game was so polished and refined that even at age 35, he could dominate on call. Watching all the legends in this game was pure basketball. And watching MJ pull out another masterpiece when the world was watching was even purer. (I credit JXN for having this game up earlier to remind me).
