The Harajuku Horseman
A guy on a horse riding around the narrow shopping streets of Harajuku in Tokyo, Japan. This is definitely something we don't see very often in Harajuku and people were amazed! The famous Harajuku kawaii clothing shop 6%DOKIDOKI is directly above the store where the horseman stops and talks to two girls at the 1:00 mark. Also, the Japanese fashion blogger Iccho is in the orange jacket near the start of the video. This video was shot in November of 2011, but we saw this horse near Omotesando Hills back in June as well: flic.kr

This tutorial will help you replicate one of the looks worn by Gwen Stefani's Harajuku Girls in photoshoots and at concerts. Its a simple, but a rather statement-making look so those who shy away from the bold, beware! I named this Doll Faced because the zoned-out, odd look reminds me of well, dolls. You could wear this for Halloween or if youre dressing up with your friends as the Harajuku Girls for any event. Harajuku Style: A Crash Course
I did as much research as I could - this is my video talking about some trends within the Harajuku style and a little history about the origination and the traditions of Harajuku style. I know that ever since the "Harajuku Lovers" scene and all the products came out, there have been some bitter feelings about how Harajuku fashion was around way before it came to mainstream products in the states. I know that the "American version" of Harajuku is not that similar to the original Japanese style, so this was my attempt to try and educate just the surface level of Harajuku style in respects to the origination of the fashion. This is a continuation of a makeup tutorial I created. However, the makeup is a recreation of a look the HARAJUKU GIRLS wore (Stefani's). Confusing, huh?
