Hariram Kalindi,Senior Natua Dancer performed in Buddhadeb Dasgupta's Film "Uttara". Natua, an ancient dance form, features in the Shiv Puranas. The word Natua, have been derived from the name of Lord Nataraj. It is believed that Nandi and Vringi, the associates of Lord Shiva were the first to perform this dance during the time of Shiva's marriage with Durga. This highly acrobatic dance form involves many tricks with fire and is usually accompanied by the beats of a Jai Dhak, the instrument which is said to have been created by Lord Shiva. The dance is performed during the Charak Puja and occasionally during marriages. It is also a lesser-known folk form of martial dance . It is "Natua". The "Natua" dance involves vigorous physical exercises with logs of wood & wheels of bullock carts. The Folk Tribal cultural Centre under the deptt of Information & Cultural Affairs held a number of workshops of "Natua" dances to keep this folk form alive. knol.google.com

World's Top Wrestlers in Action First time in India. 23rd April 2012, Today the Hari Ram Wrestling committee has unveiled the logo of 1st Hari Ram Wrestling Grand Pix Tournament 2012. The event has the blessings of International Federation of Associated Wrestling Styles ( FILA) , the Asian Associated Wrestling Council ( AAWC) and the Ministry of Youth Affairs & Sports, Government of India. The Unique feature of this grand prix tournament is that there will be no financial burden on participating countries.
