He won the fifth season of Kochav Nolad, the Israeli version of Pop Idol, and represented Israel in the Eurovision Song Contest 2008, finishing in 9th place. Margalit Tzan'ani (Hebrew: מרגלית צנעני, b. 1953), also known as Margol, is an Israeli singer and television personality. Tzan'ani is famous for her repertoire of Israeli oriental music style with soul influences, as well as jazz, blues, rock, pop and Arab music. Kochav Nolad (Hebrew: כוכב נולד) (A Star Is Born) is an Israeli reality television show searching for talented new vocalists based on the British Pop Idol and American Idol model.
