Hexen's second album proved further the band's musical genius with a brand of melodic and flashy thrash metal, just the sort of breath of fresh air the NWOTM movement has been looking for. With lots of long dramatic solos, and technical melodies in stark contrast with the singer's gritty growls, their 2008 release was certainly one of the best thrash releases of that year. Playing as a Fighter in this game, I can get stuck at some moments since it has been a while that ive played this old school game. But this game should got more respect from the newer generation since its one of the first FPS games that feature classes to pick from. Hexen II
Hexen II is a first-person shooter computer game developed by Raven Software from 1996 to 1997, published by id Software and distributed by Activision. It was the third game in the Hexen/Heretic series, and the last in the Serpent Riders trilogy. It was made available on Steam on August 3, 2007. Using a modified Quake engine, it featured single player and multiplayer game modes, as well as four character classes to choose from, each with different abilities. Improvements from Hexen and Quake included destructible environments, mounted weapons, and unique level up abilities. Like its predecessor, Hexen II also used a hub system. These hubs were a number of interconnected levels; changes made in one level had effects in another. Hexen II, by way of the Quake engine, uses OpenGL for 3D acceleration. However, due to the prevalence of 3dfx hardware at the time of release, the game installs an OpenGL ICD designed specifically for 3dfx's hardware, and thus is only compatible with 3dfx hardware. However, users with modern video cards can bypass the proprietary driver limitation by simply removing the "opengl32.dll" file from the Hexen II directory. This forces the game to use the OpenGL library already installed on the system. In this video, you can see an early demo version using 3D hardware acceleration via OpenGL.

Let's Play Hexen? (April Fools 2012)
Yes, this was another April Fools joke! Kind of an obvious one too if you look at the game compared to what I normally play on my channel, but me and ShadowMarioXLI wanted to try something new, so this was developed! I uploaded this video he made, pretending to be me, and he uploaded a Pilotwings 64 video that I made, pretending to be him. There is a running joke between us where he really hates Pilotwings 64, but I love it, and I really hate Hexen, but SM loves it, so that's where the games came from. So in the end, yeah, it was not as clever as it could have been, but it was still really fun to try and we both had a lot of fun with it. I felt like SM did capture a little bit of me, although for the most part, he underdid it. While my video on the other hand, again, I captured a little bit of him, but on the opposite side of the spectrum, I overdid it. And you know, in the end, it doesn't have to be accurate, and if anything, the inaccuracies actually helped. SM definitely has more energy when he records, while I am more precise and careful. I feel like our impressions definitely caught the vibe of the ones we were imitating. It's just that SM wasn't exact enough, and I went way further than I needed to. But I really enjoyed making this and I hope you guys really enjoyed watching it! See you guys soon for my ACTUAL Let's Plays. Hexen is a medieval FPS released in 1995 by Raven Software, utilizing a more advanced version of the Doom engine. It is the sequel to Heretic, even though it takes place in a completely different world. In Kronos, the world of Hexen, Korax has invaded the world and brought it under his rule, giving unholy power to the leaders of the Legion, the Church, and the Arcanum, and causing chaos throughout the lands of Kronos. Three individuals, Baratus, Parias, and Daedolon vowed to stop the Serpent Rider, only to end up being separated, and they must travel the lands of Kronos in order to reach Korax's domain. Hexen greatly improved on Doom's engine, adding stuff like swinging doors and scripted events, as well as the ability to select your character, each one with their own set of weapons and abilities and attributes. It also had an extra set of retail levels sold seperately called "Deathkings of the Dark Citadel". It also later spawned a sequel that used the Quake Engine: Hexen II. In this part, I start playing through Heresiarch's Seminary! This entire part is just exploring different parts of the Seminary, almost having a Bullet Hell encounter with a bunch of Dark Bishops, and finally getting the final piece to the final weapon for Baratus: The Quietus!

This is a package of all of the 3D models and High-resolution textures that have been created for HeXen thus far. Since Heretic and Doom are entirely complete, I'm hoping someone will begin work on HeXen as well. However, HeXen was always the runt of the litter, people never seem to care for it. So...it's doubtful. Here's what there is to be found, some monsters are missing 3D models as is one weapon, and to be blunt the Sorcerer's Staff is just plain ugly. This was actually done as-per request of zackyee1, who commented on my Heretic video. Doom's up next. Anyone want the download to any of these? I can upload them to Megaupload. Fasching, Fasnetumzug Stuttgart: Hexen, Narren, Funkenmariechen ... beim Karnevalsumzug
Der Karnevalsumzug/Fasnetsumzug in Stuttgart 2011: bei strahlendem Sonnenschein marschieren am Fastnachtsdienstag (Faschingsdienstag, also ein Tag nach dem Rosenmontagszug) beim Faschingsumzug Hexen, Hexer, Funkenmariechen, Narren, Tänzer/Tanzmariechen und sonstige Kostümträger (Hästräger), zudem gibt es diverse bunt dekorierte Wagen. Es ist also ein halber Hexenumzug. Man wirft Kamelle (Bonbons und andere Süßigkeiten) in das Volk, das die Straßen zu hunderten säumt. Wer allerdings Pech hat, wird von einigen Hexen mit Konfetti überschüttet oder sogar „angeschmiert" (mit Kohle angemalt). Schwäbisch-alemannische Fastnacht ... Politische Äußerungen waren beim Umzug übrigens eigentlich nicht erwünscht -- auch wenn sich, ua bei dem Mappuswagen, nicht alle daran hielten -- daher gab es am Tag zuvor, am Rosenmontag, einen Rosenmontagsumzug der Gegner von Stuttgart 21 (S21) und Kopfbahnhof-Befürworter (K21): www.youtube.com Alles aufgenommen am 8. Hexen (as Fighter, Titan difficulty) - Winnowing Hall
Hexen is a medieval FPS released in 1995 by Raven Software, utilizing a more advanced version of the Doom engine. It is the sequel to Heretic, even though it takes place in a completely different world. In Kronos, the world of Hexen, Korax has invaded the world and brought it under his rule, giving unholy power to the leaders of the Legion, the Church, and the Arcanum, and causing chaos throughout the lands of Kronos. Three individuals, Baratus, Parias, and Daedolon vowed to stop the Serpent Rider, only to end up being separated, and they must travel the lands of Kronos in order to reach Korax's domain. Hexen greatly improved on Doom's engine, adding stuff like swinging doors and scripted events, as well as the ability to select your character, each one with their own set of weapons and abilities and attributes. It also had an extra set of retail levels sold seperately called "Deathkings of the Dark Citadel". It also later spawned a sequel that used the Quake Engine: Hexen II. This is the first level of the game: Winnowing Hall.
