Died Aug. 6, while supporting combat operations in Farah province, Afghanistan. assigned to the 2nd Battalion, 3rd Marine Regiment, 3rd Marine Division, III Marine Expeditionary Force, Kaneohe Bay, HI. The date was April 8, 1995 where the finals of the 1995 US Open took place at Joe Louis Arena in Detroit, MI before a record vocal crowd of 7212. This is the exciting semi-final match between Paul Koehler and Steve Hoskins. This was Koehler's first appearence on the Pro Bowlers Tour. The winner of this match would meet Dave Husted for the championship. Koehler now bowls out of the Detroit area, and in fact, I had the opportunity to cross with him in the most recent Detroit Masters tournament. He still has the great form you see here. A weird scene from the British gangster flick, "The Long Good Friday", in which Harold ( Bob Hoskins ) and his criminal pal, Razors, slash up some naked gay Liverpudlian dude in exchange for some information. I really couldn't explain it much better than that, but the reason this stands out in my head is the unintentionally funny line from Sir Bob, "Colin's been STABBED!", which never fails to amuse me. The whole sequence is pretty bizarre, including Razor's little back story about his nickname, The Human Spirograph. Pretty compelling stuff, eh? Enjoy!
