Record breaking length? Over 175 feet of Hot Wheels track. Hot Wheels cars racing side by side 2 and 3 wide. Does anyone know of a longer track? We built it to race on it and it was so much fun. In late 2011, Mattel released a new version of the Faster Than Ever wheels. Actually, I assume that the nickel-plated axles are still the same but they changed what style of wheel that they are going to use on the Faster Than Ever releases. The original FTE Wheels are actually "Open Hole 5 spoke" and they paint them copper when used with the FTE cars. According to the wheel chart at www.southtexasdiecast.com these new FTE2 wheels are called "Trapezoid 5 Spoke". When those are copper colored, the axle should be nickel-plated to make them Faster Than Ever.

Boardwalk Blast and Flame Drop appeared in stores at the same time. Between the two, I like Boardwalk Blast much better! All of the parts are interchangeable with your current Wall Tracks setup! Flame Drop is fun too but it has it's own configuration and you won't be able to swap it's pieces with the pieces from other sets. You can have parts leading into and out of Flame Drop though without any problems.

A custom-made margarita dispenser for parties which only works if the attached toy track set is set up to activate properly. Trick Tracks (a real Hot Wheels product) is a Rube Goldberg-like assortment of cars and accessories which can be set up to delivers a chain reaction of car stunts like loops, see-saws, hammer drops, etc. All of these Trick Track stunts have been specially adapted to this application. A Parallax Basic Stamp 1 monitors the progress of the stunts using microswitches added to the accessories. If the track is properly set up (requiring a hint of sobriety) and the Basic Stamp verifies the proper trigger sequence and timing intervals, then a 12-volt pump fills a cup with pre-mixed margarita from a gas can reservoir. A fun way to get a drink and responsibly limit people from drinking too much!
