Hsiao Hou (Siu Hau), in Kung Fu Genius demonstrates the Drunken Monkey style. Hsiao Hou has what I consider the best monkey style to date on film in his other movie Mad Monkey Kung Fu. He also fights with a hoop in these cool clips. The movements are always very clean and precise, the other guy just looks sloppy compared to him. A very touching classic by Ricky Hsiao Huang-Chi (Taiwanese Stevie Wonder). He was born with eye defect, but managed to recovered 5-1% of his vision at the age of 4 after 2 successful surgeries. However due to overuse of his vision, he lost all his vision at the age of 15. Nevertheless, he is musically gifted (able to play guitar, saxophone and drums) and has wrote many wonderful, heart-warming songs.

Hou Hsiao-Hsien's masterpiece "Three Times" explores love in three different eras - 1911, 1966, 2005 - all of which, so different, yet portrayed by the same two actors. This segment, "A Time for Love," is probably one of the most authentically romantic segments of cinema ever filmed. Classic scene of Older Brother (陳松勇) scolding his wife and his little brother (a deaf Tony Leung Chiu-Wai), then emphatically breaking a guest's instrument due to the singing. Both Hou and Chen were awarded Golden Horses for their work in this film; it was also the winner of the 1989 Venice Film Festival. This film's contribution to the political landscape of Taiwan is quite significant, since it centers on an event still controversial today, the February 28 Incident. The poem is about the missing of distant relutives during a moonlit night and the poet's sweet dream of coming back to his home.
