Lim Hwee Hua quits politics - 11 May2011
SINGAPORE: Minister in the Prime Minister's Office, Mrs Lim Hwee Hua, said she will not contest the next General Election in 2016. She said she will leave it to someone younger as she will be 57 years old. Speaking at a media conference Wednesday morning, Mrs Lim, who is also the Second Minister for Finance and Transport, said she has served almost 15 years and that's a "reasonable" stretch. Mrs Lim said she was also surprised by the depth of resentment felt by citizens towards the government, which surfaced during the campaign. And while the PAP team was expecting a close fight in Aljunied GRC, Mrs Lim said she was still surprised by the outcome. But she said the team respects the decision of the voters. "There will always be gaps in the way we serve residents that can be addressed. But it's quite clear to us that the outcome was not because of that. It might have changed the results marginally. I think the Workers' Party said as much, that it's a national battle. They have decided on Aljunied as the target, and voters were forced to make a national decision," said Mrs Lim. She also told the media that the transformation of the ruling People's Action Party must not just be in words but in substance as well. Mrs Lim said Singaporeans now feel that the PAP is not listening to their opinions and is making policies without their considerations in mind. I'll admit I has been feeling pretty out of it lately. When my stress levels pile I tend to spammu my channel with dubs in attempt to forget all the crazy responsibilities me has to deal with in real life. And it sorta works...for a while. But yeah, I honestly have to thank my bestie, Rixie for being there to talk to me so I don't go absolutely bonkers and die from insanity, lol! ILJ00 hunneh!! ^^ Song :: "Maji Desu ka Ska!" Ori. Geok Hwee's Last Night
My mom's dressmaking school wound up business three years ago in 2003. Having only a primary school education, she built up the school from scratch, starting with one sewing machine and a corner of a rented room years ago. She had to close her school due to changing times and dressmaking becoming a dying trade. On the last night of Geok Hwee Dressmaking Centre's operation, I went down and recorded some footages. Here's the edited video, three years later... as a present to my mother on her birthday on 28th August, 2006. The song is Cai Qing's 'Zhui Hou Yi Ye' (The Last Night), which I felt was aeptly suited for the mood. Credits: Alvin Lim, Lim Siyun

(i volunteered to mix and upload this for the members of HWEE) Hiiiii! First off, I would like to direct you guys to HWEE, two REALLY talented girls who rock at singing! The "group" consists of Okie (DivaDagger) and Rixie (RixieMixiePixieDixie, I think?). I discovered them through Okie (who sings with me in alo!kira!project) and wanted to sing with them. So I asked and it was decided that we would sing MY BOY by Buono! This is why I only guest star in this xD; A few things to note about this dub: 1) Okie and Rixie pwn. All that must be said :3 2) I recently discovered that I can mix using Garage Band, which comes with the MacBook Pro. This dub was a bit of a guinea pig for that!
