I enjoyed making this from creating the lighting on the stage to editing! I hope you enjoy it to! The story I created was about a man who was a performer who had everything he ever dreamed of, from having his name in lights to just being able to perform on stage. In my video I have captured from how you see him being on stage at his best performing and then walking around the streets of London as if he was still in his prime. For every star there is always an end and for this performer he didnt want to believe that it was and I have shown this from showing him walking into the theatre and walking round London dressed smart as if he still had everything. However when you see him chucked out of the theatre you see he is only a tramp living on the streets trying to make his dream become real again. I show the difference between the realities of him being on stage by using an old age effect to show that was the past, but when showing him walking into the theatre and around London you see he is still dressed smart but life around him has changed. To answer some frequent questions; -This took about an hour to make. -I used Final Cut, but AfterEffects and Premiere have all the necessary tools too. -I got the idea after cutting a trailer for Empire as practice, and was going to use the scene of Vader's pod opening, then just starting scrolling back and forth over the clip, so the pod opened and shut over and over, and the idea came from there. Amusement comes easily after midnight. -I know people have copied this. I found it's easier to do all the same ones at the same time, ie. all the snowmen, then all the snowflakes, then all the sleds, etc. There's less changing of tips and it's easier to remember what you did. I've learned this lesson before but thought for some reason I should do it differently. I was still suffering from monkey arm when I made these so for the first 6 I wasn't a happy caker. But after I remembered how things SHOULD be done and got a rhythm going, well, everything went much better. I nearly always like to keep some chocolate buttercream in the freezer, you never know when you'll need brown or black. Those colors are particularly hard to make with regular buttercream, best to use the chocolate buttercream. You know, I don't like to make New Year's resolutions. Diet and exercise proclamations usually die within a couple of weeks. What I'd like is for things to continue. What I mean by this is that God has blessed me with an incredibly awesome husband, 3 beautiful, talented, and amazing kids, and a happy home. Anything in addition to this is an added bonus, another gift. I couldn't ask for more except that <b>...</b>

On the way to Toronto last weekend, I watched "A Nightmare on Elm Street 2: Freddy's Revenge." In comparison to the first one, DEAR GOD IT WAS BORING! So boring in fact that when I finished watching, I suddenly got extremely drowsy! I don't why, I was perfectly fine before; I seriously, after watching that film, felt like falling asleep. Now that those shenanigans are done, onto the Josh deal-o. I, being one of Josh's closest friends, may have erupted some drama of hate betwixt some of the other LPers. Let me tell you now that just because he got partner, it doesn't mean he'll over abuse the feature that a partner can have (ie longer video times or ad revenue), or for that matter, become what people call "a YouTube whore." It really, to him, doesn't mean squat, and it shouldn't mean anything to anyone else, either! He also applied for partnership in attempt to see if YouTube could succumb to allowing LPers to become partnered, and it apparently worked. Yet, Android also includes a super-modern Browser that includes Gears. It's even possible to build parts of your apps in native code (that is, C.) Choice is good, but it does mean one more decision for the developer to make -- and in this case, a big decision. Should you write your app in managed code, to integrate cleanly and seamlessly with the system? Should you write your app in the Browser as "Ajax plus", so that it can run on multiple phone platforms? Or should you go for raw speed, and write part of it in ARM-processor native code? There's no universal answer to these questions, but in this session Dan Morrill will teach you to pick the technique that works best for your app. In this session, you'll get a demonstration of each technique, and learn how to apply them to your own apps.
