IFB—sounds ominous, doesn't it? And that's exactly what its ex-members want you to think. The acronym stands for Independent Fundamental Baptist—a person or place following a literal interpretation of the Bible. These ex-members, or "survivors," have a cause—partly noble, partly malicious. Their voices have been united through revolutionary media such as Facebook and Youtube. Their blogs vehemently attack people and institutions (such as Bob Jones University) that get in the way of their plans. And they've invited all current IFB believers to a new place—the "invisible church"— to escape what these "survivors" believe is a cult. But what is this new place? What kinds of Christians reside there? Is this a movement worth joining or listening to?
