here is a better look at the ISF's AWESOME acceleration...last video i made the ground was wet and it wasnt a very good indication of how fast this car is. This is a little better. I just did it once so im sure i could get a better number with a few more try's. I thought this was decent for just tossing the camera up and going for it. Also, while i was making this video, i got an Email from Psyph - he wanted me to try out a new track and make it available for download.......i figured i would do just that. Takeda Cold Air Intake installed - 2011 Lexus ISF
I ordered up my intake this week and it came within a few days. You guys know me i dont waste any time so i installed it right away. My ISSforged exhaust is on the way too, i am hoping sometime next week it should be here. here is some info on this intake taken directly from their website: The Takeda Retain Intake by aFe is the only sealed intake system on the market! In recent testing, this intake produced 16 hp and 15 lbs. x ft. of torque and outflows the factory intake by 20%. This intake is constructed out of lightweight clear coat anodized tubing for maximum air flow and a stealthy appearance. This intake also uses a large 360 degree high flow PRO Dry S air filter for maximum flow, filtration and convenience. The welded on Mass Air Flow Sensor pad with inserts makes for a clean installation. Along with the one-piece black powdercoated filter housing, this system is trully engineered to be the best performing and easiest to install intake on the market! Lexus ISF Custom 3 Piece 20" AZA Forged Wheel (Video 1) Measuring & CNC
Finally getting some new shoes and socks for my 2011 Lexus ISF. I was so impressed by the wheels that i had made for Chickens "hoopty" Escalade, i knew i had to have some for myself...a different style of course. These wheels are made by a company called AZA www.AZAforged.com and also have a motorcycle division called Sinister. I rolled up to where they are located, in Turlock, California which is about 2 hours from where i live. They cut out a NEW forging they were working on and i get to be one of the first to try it, if not THE first. Its similar to the "slide" wheel they offer but this one, if you look close, is different.......it is designed for the maximum amount of "dish" while not sticking out past the fender. Dont forget i have 6 Piston "Lexus" aka Brembo brakes and huge rotors. so it really has to be designed right for clearance purposes. While i was there, they took measurements, thru it in the CNC and made some changes, then took it out for more measurements. Now that we know exactly how its going to fit, it can be cut the rest of the way and then sent off for paint. The inner piece will be black. The outer lip will be black with a machined 1 stripe on the very outside edge for contrast. The inner piece will be black with a slight bevel around the spokes which will be machined off and exposed aluminum (clear coated of course). How to Roll a Fender - Lexus ISF (Making room for wider tires)
**JUST SAY NO to the "baseball bat" trick!** This is the easiest, most accurate, proper way to get the job done. This is a 2011 Lexus ISF. My new, wider Pirelli tires came in a few weeks ago but i knew before i put them on, i would have to roll the fenders. In this video, you see exactly how to do it. I bought my roller off of Amazon.com but it can also be found at www.eastwood.com. The new tires are 235 (front, 9" wheels) and 285/25/20 (rear, 10" wheels). The wheels themselves are custom, 1-off 3 piece wheels made by AZA ( www.azaforged.com ). As it stands, even with the fenders rolled, the 285's in the rear barely clear and i could not use a spacer. 2011 Lexus ISF 6 Piston Brakes Painted F Blue, Custom Logo - Plus bonus Smoke!
in anticipation of my new wheels that are being custom made for this car, i wanted to change the color of the brake calipers. I love the color and I figured since they didnt have a blue ISF on the lot when i got this one, that this would fill the "void" just fine for me :D The new wheels, as stated in the video will be 20" Black on black 3 piece wheels with an offset. They should be ready next week. In the meantime, while i wait for my wheels to be finished, i called up Roy Devore, the man responsible for painting my Tahoe and Chickens Hoopty Caddy (search candy blue Escalade in my vids). He didnt even hesitate and came right over. After looking at them closely, it was determined that we could paint them completely without taking them off. I honestly didnt want to mess with pulling them off the car anyway since it would be a pain in the ass. As you can see, it turned out great! Having my own lift really helped and Roy was able to hit the brakes inside and out with no problem. We had some custom logo's made for them and they turned out perfect. 2011 Lexus ISF - Black on Black - FIRST LOOK! FIRST START! (on video)
as most of you might know i was rear ended last Wednesday morning and my Pearl White Lexus IS250, my baby girl, was totaled. I have a great insurance company, Progressive, who took care of it quick......they handled my case for me and were reimbursed by the responsible persons insurance (the person who rear ended me @ 40mph click here for video www.youtube.com . They were extremely fast. Anyway, they paid it off, gave me the balance, and as soon as i got my money i went right to the Lexus dealership with thoughts of an IS350 or even better the ISF! Well as you can see, i got very lucky! Anyway i have more video of me getting on the gas pretty hard for a short burst just to show you what the SICK 8 speed tranny is all about. BLACKED OUT 2011 Lexus ISF - Windows Tinted - Tint 2k
I know its only been like 2 days but i couldnt take it anymore. I had the fishbowl syndrome going on and needed to do something about it.....took my car to my favorite tint guy Mike from Tint 2K in Carmichael, California. We ended up doing Suntek 5% on all rear windows and 30% up on the front windows. He is the same guy who tinted my last car as well as a few windows on my Tahoe. As you might know, these wheels are pretty much brand new. They are custom, 1 off, 3 piece made specifically for my car. When they were first finished , they had a machined stripe on the outside edge and also in between the spokes was also exposed aluminum. Recently i sent out the 20" AZA Wheels back and asked them to Paint them all black. I really liked the way they looked before but i really had my heart set on ALL BLACK. I am very pleased with the results....although black gets dirty VERY FAST! Now the blue brakes we painted a few months ago really stand out! the wheels are: Front: 20x9 wrapped in a 235/30/20 Rear: 20x10 wrapped in a 275/25/20 Tires are Nitto Invo. An explanation of the ISF tone control, an exclusive feature from Blackstar Amplification
The Infinite Shape Feature control can be found on many Blackstar products from lines such as Series One, HT Venue series and selected pedals. But what is ISF? This short animation should hopefully explain some questions you may have. Transcript: ISF is an innovative control from Blackstar Amplification. When turned towards 0, it gives tight, focussed, percussive response, characteristic of American amps. When turned towards 10, the response becomes woody, crunchy and warm, like traditional British amps. Bass Mid and Treble controls can be found on almost all modern amp designs, but by varying component values, each company has developed it's own signature sound. However, these signature sounds are only snapshots of the wide tonal spectrum available. The blackstar patented infinite shape feature (or ISF) shifts the whole tone control network. This lets you match the snapshots from established brands as well as the infinite options of any characteristics in between them. This means that the signature sound of your amp, is decided by you. Our aim is to give you the tools to find the sound in your head. ISF is different to a contour control or a parametric EQ, which sound unmusical and suck the life from your tone. The ISF network's response is identical to the traditional passive guitar network. Bass mid and treble controls remain interactive, which is key to the musicality of the circuit
