The 747-8 Intercontinental is Boeing's largest ever passenger jet. It's also the world's most environmentally friendly passenger plane, with the lowest operating costs. NTD's correspondent Karen Chang files this report from the premier ceremony in Everett, Washington. Nearly 10000 employees, media and guests saw the unveiling of Boeing's latest passenger aircraft. The 747-8 Intercontinental premiered on Sunday (February 13) at the Boeing factory in Everett, Washington. The latest test in my intercontinental railway in Minecraft. The Boo update has brought some changes, namely the lack of Autocart or my texture pack. This video was created entirely using powered minecarts, which means there are several visible cuts throughout the film where I had to get out and put more coal in the cart. (Notch, please please make lava powered carts) There's a bug in the way Minecraft reports world sizes that was introduced in the latest update, but this world is 27.9 megabytes in size. This video was captured with Fraps at 720p60 (I don't have a 1080p monitor), and edited with Sony Vegas. The raw footage was sped up 8 times. I'm not sure what happened to the start of the video, but the intro is a little messed up. The music is from the Elysium demo for Amiga by the scene group Sanity. This flight line gauntlet is an exhaustive two-day check of the airplane's systems. When the new Boeing 747-8 Intercontinental makes its first flight, which could come as early as March 20, the Boeing pilots and test team pretty much know exactly what will happen because they've already flown the flight. Over the weekend, the team wrapped up flight line gauntlet testing, a thorough and exhaustive two-day check of the airplane's systems, followed by a simulation of the first flight profile. "We literally looked at every button, every switch, every system to make sure we have an uneventful first flight," said Captain Mark Feuerstein, chief pilot for the 747-8. While the engines were running, the 747-8 never left the ground. Instead, a powerful simulator provided real-life inputs, forcing the airplane to operate as if it were flying.
