Russia has issued a clear warning to Israel over a possible attack on Iran. The Foreign Minister was responding to the Israeli president's suggestion that a military strike on Iran is more likely than diplomacy. Sergey Lavrov said any such attack would be a serious mistake with unpredictable consequences. The UN nuclear watchdog is about to report on Iran's nuclear activities where it's thought it will reveal computer models of an atomic warhead and other weapons-related work. Tensions are once again mounting against Iran ahead of a crucial report by the UN nuclear watchdog, IAEA, due next week. Meanwhile, Israel has tested a new ballistic missile. Some reports go even further and suggest the idea of a military strike on the Islamic Republic is being pushed by Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. And British media say that with Iran remaining resilient against international sanctions, the attack could come as soon as next November. Tension runs high between Israel and Iran

Israel's warnings of a possible attack on Iran has increased tension between the two countries, ahead of a UN atomic agency report on Tehran's nuclear programme, due out this week. Some experts say Israel will launch a strike if it is convinced that the West is not going to take stronger steps against nuclear Iran. Tehran continues to insist its nuclear programme is only for peaceful purposes. Al Jazeera's Nicole Johnston reports from Jerusalem.

"China will not hesitate to protect Iran even with a third World War" Major General Zhang Zhaozhong

On November 21st, America, UK and Canada announced more sanctions against Iran. France also proposed to adopt new sanctions to force Tehran to stop it's nuclear project. On Nov 23rd, the spokesman of Chinese Communist Party (CCP)'s Foreign Ministry said in a regular press conference held in Beijing that China is opposed to unilateral sanctions against Iran. Scholars believe that, being isolated, China and Iran need mutual support. Meanwhile, the CCP government, with internal and external difficulties, may express an even tougher diplomatic "voice". "Reuters" reported on Nov 23rd: "The United States, UK and Canada have announced new sanctions against Iran in the areas of energy and finance. France proposed 'unprecedented' new sanctions, including freezing the assets of the Central Bank of Iran and suspending the purchase of Iran's oil. Earlier, the "International Atomic Energy Agency" (IAEA) had issued a report that Iran may be secretly developing nuclear weapons. On Nov 23rd, the CCP's Foreign Ministry expressed opposition to the imposition of unilateral sanctions against Iran. In this regard, Xia Ming, a political professor from "City University of New York" in America, believes that since the Cold War, the United States and Western society's biggest challenges have been seen as being from China and Iran. They are both isolated by the United States and the West. Therefore, China's policy is foreseeable. Xia Ming says: "China and Iran are facing strong Western challenges ...

Recent embezzlement in Iran-Iran Today-11-08-2011

www.presstv.com On October 27 2011, in Iran, a story that hit the national news headlines, all of sudden became breaking world news. Everyone was talking about it and it became the topic of discussions almost everywhere. It was about a major abuse of Iran's banking system. What officials called: "the most unprecedented financial corruption case in the history of the country." Both the public and the politicians were shocked and the story immediately drew different reactions. But what had originally made the headlines turned out to be only the tip of the iceberg. As more dimensions were uncovered the story became more complicated -- to the point where no one could even agree what to call the scandal an "embezzlement" or a "fraud". Three thousand billion tomans, the equivalent of 2.6 billion dollars, is the amount of money that an individual named Mah Afarid Amir Khosravi had been able to withdraw from the banking system and deposit in his personal account. Amir Khosravi had opened several companies and used the loopholes in the law pertaining to domestic Letters of Credit or LCs. Officials later announced that about half of the accounts had been settled and that the actual amount of the fraud was 1.7 billion dollars. But, whatever the actual number, Amir Khosravi had been able to collect enough money to set up a new bank called "Aria". Such cases of large scale embezzlement are not unheard of in the global arena. In other countries such as the United States, the ...

Netanyahu's 'Winston Churchill' Moment on Iran: Infowars Nightly News

Zero Hedge November 2, 2011 First Fukushima made a repeat appearance last night with news of a repeat fission incident, a topic which has gotten absolutely zero media coverage as discussing beta, let alone gamma decay, is considered uncouth in refined society; now it is time for the fallback geopolitical hotbed to enter the stage. Sky News has reported that Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is trying to rally support in his cabinet for an attack on Iran, according to government sources. "The country's defence minister Ehud Barak and the foreign minister Avigdor Lieberman are said to be among those backing a pre-emptive strike to neutralise Iran's nuclear ambitions. But a narrow majority of ministers currently oppose the move, which could trigger a wave of regional retaliation. The debate over possible Israeli military action has reached fever pitch in recent days with newspaper leader columns discussing the benefits and dangers of hitting Iran. Mr Lieberman responded to the reports of a push to gain cabinet approval by saying that "Iran poses the most dangerous threat to world order." But he said Israel's military options should not be a matter for public discussion." Which makes one wonder: why is Sky News reporting on this, and why is it a matter for public discussion? As the US continues to stand by Israel, Washington's now coming under fire for new revelations of its dealings with the country. It's claimed the White House sold dozens of bunker-buster bombs to Tel Aviv - weapons best suited for destroying underground nuclear facilities in Iran. A deal to buy the bombs during the Bush administration in 2005 foundered over concerns Israel could pass the technology on to China. But claims have now emerged that the weapons were secretly released shortly after Obama took office in 2009. Observers fear the move could lead to a new war.
