A short version documentary of Folk music researched by Vaheed Kaacemy. This research project has commenced in 2006 and has been on going to present day. The contents of this research project is submitted to the ministry of culture in afghanistan for younger youths to learn about the history of music in Afghanistan from different provinces of the country.

Second episode of our trip from Poland to Central Asia by Ford Transit (diesel, 2,5litres). The trip took place between 7th July and 16th August 2009. We rolled on our tyres asphalt and dust from Poland, Ukraine, Russia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan. The second episode shows pictures ad movies shot during the way from Kyrgyz-Tajik border to the point somewhere between Ishkashim and Rushan. Tajikistan definitely was the most demanding and the most rewarding part of our trip. This country is purely marvellous - especially its GBAO part: mountains, peaks, passes, hot&cold springs, fortresses, view on Afghanistan and last but not least: extra-friendly people!! That was great test for our Ford Transit, which occurred to be strong as hell and just flew over all rivers, streams, holes and so on :) Pamir Highway and Wakhan Valley rules! Some footage, with music by Ensemble Tengir Too from Kyrgystan (second and third track) from a recent trip to the Wakhan Corridor in NE Afghanistan. We travelled from Dushanbe in Tajikistan down to Ishkashim in the Wakhan, then travelled up the corridor, spending 9 days in the Hindu Kush where a new peak was climbed,and then crossed the Wakhan into the Great Pamir, where both the Wakhis and the Kirghiz were tending summer pastures. An unbelieveably beautiful area and a welcome contrast to all the negative press coming out of Afghanistan.. This area has never been ruled by the Taliban and you could not recieve a warmer welcome.
