A film made by Jack Hextall & Rick Sims to be shown at the Riot Jazz Café tent at Kendal Calling festival 2010. The story of the tent was: "a time-travelling submarine from 1991 Moscow crashes into a gangland speakeasy jazz bar from 1929 New York". The film fills in some of the gaps. --------------------------------------------------------------------- Written, directed and edited by Rick Sims and Jack Hextall. Additional animation by Michael Walsh. Music: - "Soundwave" by The Riot Jazz Brass Band - "Moliendo Café" by Fanfare Ciocãrlia - "Moving Like a Train (Smith N' Hack Remix)" by Herbert Contrary to the very "on location" feel of many of the scenes, the film was shot in Manchester. It was edited indoors while it was very sunny outside. Riot Jazz is a Manchester-based night incorporating funk, soul, hip hop and aggressive jazz, always featuring the 10-piece Riot Jazz Brass Band.
