The Jaggerz - Stand In For Love/Please Baby Please

Remembered for 'The Rapper', lots of people don't know this band started out as a blue-eyed soul band in 1965. In 1968 they got on record with Gamble Records of Philly with 'Gotta Find My Way Back Home', and most people assumed them to be a Black group. Then there was 'Rapper' and it didn't matter much. By and large The Jaggerz were, and still are an R&B band. Jimmie Ross has gotten them going again in recent years, and though they might seem a bit more mellow than in the old days, they're still great. This is from the "And The Band Played On' CD, and it's damn good. Happy to say they're from W.Pa., and the pride of Pittsburgh. For Fred, some pics from my backyard. Enjoy a great medley of two of Pgh's favorites (O'Jays/Sensations), as done by this incredible group of guys. I can't play this enough, i just love it.

The Jaggerz - Forever Together, Together Forever

1968 track by Pittsburgh's Jaggerz. Billy Maybray and the boys in the band cut this for Kenny Gamble and Leon Huff in Philadelphia. Great example of how soulful this group of guys could be. Originally the flip side to 'Gotta Find My Way Back Home', another super track from the guys who hit big with 'The Rapper'. It's these Philly records that Pookie digs. Enjoy some good blue-eyed soul.

The Rapper by the Jaggerz - Karaoke

Audio of my karaoke singing performance recorded by a host in a bar in Arizona. I later found out the singer was Donny Iris and that he was also in the band Wild Cherry. Funny, because I have sung Play That Funky Music along with his single Leah!
