John Frusciante - The Past Recedes

John Frusciante Past Recedes video.....(yes,its not a cover) :-) Lyrics: One, Two, Three, Four And then the past recedes And I won't be involved The effort to be free Seems pointless from above You're looking down at me I'd rather stay below Than have you staring up at me Is nowhere I want to go Ay, this business of how long we try to stay alive Why to be here you first got to die So I gave it a try And what do you know Time was so long ago And things come back you see To where they don't belong And every drop of sea is the whole ocean I lied to the greatest thieves About anything and everything I'm a figure of forgotten speech I'm out of reach I can't play it safe But I might just in case I'm disguised as a reaching hand I'm a working man I don't understand why clockout Comes so slow everytime That's one line I stay right behind That's one line I stay right behind. -DISCLAIMER- Copyright Disclaimer Under Section 107 of the Copyright Act 1976, allowance is made for "fair use" for purposes such as criticism, comment, news reporting, teaching, scholarship, and research. Unreachable by John Frusciante from his new album The Enpyrean, which is to be released on January 20th 2009. lyrics: Are we Down for the same cause We don't know what we stand for When the moments start to crack You do lose track where your head's at And I am unreachable What do you think when your head's full? We talk, we lie on what we get We're picking up where we aren't yet HEY! One time, hit me where I turn right I don't mean to be polite Uniformed, spinning the world to the beat of my drum Uniformed Reach into the darkness for what you can find Travel great distance in your mind The world gets stronger as you start trying Turn around toward being born away from dying I've run again, with the one on my side Are we to disappear, well, I know I tried You know we tried, you know we tried Heeeeeeey shoot me heeeeeeeey Heeeeeeey shoot me shoot me shoot me yeah yeah yeah hey hey yeah Aaaaah The Empyrean Track listing: 1. (Lyrics) You don't throw your life away Going inside You get to know who's watching you And who besides you resides In your body Where you're slow Where you go doesn't matter Cause there will come a time When time goes out the window And you'll learn to drive out of focus Of you And if anything unfolds It's supposed to Ooh You don't throw your time away sitting still I'm in a chain of memories It's my will And I had to consult some figures of the past And I know someone after me Will go right back I'm not telling a view I've got this night to unglue I moved this fight away By doing things there's no reason to do Ooh

10 - John Frusciante - Scratches (Inside Of Emptiness)

John Frusciante - Scratches Album: Inside Of Emptiness (2004) Inside of Emptiness is the sixth album by John Frusciante, and the fourth album of a six album series released from June 2004 to February 2005. It features Josh Klinghoffer and Omar Rodríguez-López as guest musicians. Recorded in March and published in October 2004, John's fastest album to date might as well be the first one to think of when someone who hasn't followed his career and who's a fan of Red Hot Chili Peppers asks what to start with. From the distorted hot rocking beats of What I Saw to the melancolic falsetto of Scratches, with the floor vibrating from the screams in 666 and hearts melting at the warmth and openess of I'm Around and cruel reality of Look On, the song which features one of John's best guitar solos ever; Inside Of Emptiness is most likely the album where no skipping will occur, no matter who you are. Lyrically, just like all of John's other albums, it is much more complex. According to the author himself, three songs on the album were written while thinking about British occultist/mystic Aleister Crowley. Some of the music critics are refering to Inside Of Emptiness as something similar to what Shadows Collide With People would sound had it been unpolished and more raw. On the other side, this is obviously album where the electric guitar dominates, unlike on SCWP where each song has an accoustic guitar as the base instrument. Apart from usual contributor Josh Klinghoffer, the album ...

02 - John Frusciante - Lever Pulled (Curtains)

John Frusciante - Lever Pulled Album: Curtains (2005) Curtains is the seventh soloalbum by John Frusciante released on February 1, 2005 through Record Collection. The last album in the six-in-six series was almost two months late due to a printing mistake, yet absolutely worth the wait. John's voice is better than ever and on some songs, such as Control and Ascension, he's literally playing with his wide vocal range and, through crystal-clear singing, once again, portraying the nude of his own soul; singing and strumming the cords from the living room for of his Los Angeles home, backed up by his friends Omar Rodriguez-Lopez, Carla Azar and Ken Wild. The emotions and voice are echoing after having hit the glass and the walls and are channeled through the acoustic guitars, electric guitar overlays and even a melodica solo at the end of A Name, following the last sung lines starting with words from a children's game. On Lever Pulled, yet another song that resembles a poem from the later XIX century romanticism era, it sounds as if the notes escaped, tripped and broke against the floor. There are verses which could associate to Prometheus and Noah; yet the most of it is pure Frusciante, the raw flesh just torn off a poet's heart. Casual listeners are most likely to say that John resembles Cat Stevens on this album. 1. The Past Recedes [3:53] 2. Lever Pulled [2:22] 3. Anne [3:35] 4. The Real [3:07] 5. A Name [2:03] 6. 12 - John Frusciante - The Will To Death (The Will To Death)

John Frusciante - The Will To Death Album: The Will To Death (2004) The Will to Death is the fifthstudio album by John Frusciante, released on June 22, 2004 on Record Collection. The album reached #36 on the Top Independent Albums chart. Frequent collaborator Josh Klinghoffer appears, performing drums, bass, and keyboard. In 2004 Frusciante announced that he would produce six albums during a six month break from the Red Hot Chili Peppers, with The Will to Death being the first of these. Following the long and costly recording of his previous album, Shadows Collide With People, Frusciante decided to experiment with recording music quickly and in a minimalist fashion, performing a maximum of two takes per track. Frusciante has stated that the album is intended to be "the opposite of Shadows Collide With People": "On The Will to Death, I thought it would be a good idea to make a record with very little backing vocals, because we'd done it so much on Shadows. I always have to have a new idea for each album. For The Will to Death, the idea was to have very little backing vocals. There's a lot of other huge differences. In every way, I wanted the opposite of Shadows. " 1. A Doubt [4:19] 2. An Exercise [3:47] 3. Time Runs Out [4:00] 4. Loss [5:20] 5. Unchanging [3:54] 6. The Mirror [3:01] 7. A Loop [4:34] 8. In my opinion hands down vocally John's best song in my opinion, and it was such a surprise when I could not find this song on youtube for whatever reason. This song is called "Scratches" off John Frusciante's "Inside of Emptiness" album, and for me this song defines Johns vocals. *NOTE* I had to change the pitch up a half step to avoid Warner Music Group detecting the audio, and thus remove my video. I hope you guys enjoy this song, and to John Frusciante fans who have never heard this, it's my honor to show it to you :)
