After completing a 10 day Vipassana Meditation Course, instructed by SN Goenka, I wanted to share with you how that Experience Enlightened me with regard to the source of my Art Inspiration. Recently in my mind I have been receiving in an instant, a completed image for many of my paintings, complete in scale, form and colour. I have been searching for an answer as to why, how and from where they are coming. After completing the course, I now fully believe that I am receiving these images instinctually at the experiential level of the mind, from the bank of ideas and images that are held within the universe, I am allowing myself to be open and act as a channel for these images to come into existence. I am not feeling the need to attach myself to them, but rather objectively observe them and reproduce them in their pure form. I have later taken some of these images and created other works that are derivatives of the original inspiration. It has been a very liberating experience. Ripped by: ChrisGoesRock Gary Walker (born Gary Leeds, 9 March 1942, Glendale, California) was the drummer, and vocalist with both The Standells and The Walker Brothers. In 1967 he founded Gary Walker and The Rain, which consisted of Joey Molland (guitar and vocals); Charles "Paul" Crane (lead vocals, guitar); and John Lawson (bass guitar). Gary Walker (real name Gary Leeds) was by far the least prominent of the Walker Brothers; nominally the drummer, he apparently played on few if any of the group's records. When the Walkers split in 1967, he formed his own band, Gary Walker & the Rain, which played a far more guitar-oriented brand of pop/rock than his previous outfit. Also including future Badfinger guitarist Joey Molland, the group managed to release an album in Japan in 1968 before splitting in the late '60s. Leeds surfaced again as part of the mid-'70s Walker Brothers reunion. The sole LP by Walker & the Rain is a middling slice of late-'60s British mod-pop/rock with mild psychedelic influences, like phasing and slight guitar distortion. Not at all similar to the balladeering of the Walker Brothers, Leeds deserved credit for trying to reinvent himself within a straightahead rock group, although the results weren't that impressive. Gary formed his own group, Gary Walker and The Rain, in the autumn of 1967. Relax and enjoy the sound of the ocean W/O music, watch and listen to the calming soothing music of waves crashing. I filmed this peaceful atmospheric scene on the rocky shoreline of Ireland's northwest coast. The rugged coastline in this part of the country is so inspirational, a mixture of sandy beaches, stoney pebble beaches, craggy rocks and cliffs. Just around the corner from where I filmed this scene lie what are believed to be Europe's highest seacliffs, rising 610m straight up out the sea. From moment to moment the landscape takes on a completely different feel as the weather never stays the same for very long, making this one of the most spectacular places to be. I was captivated by the meditative quality of the sea as it rose and fell, pulsating, a slave to the pull of the moon. A symphony of sound filled the air. As this video is of nature sounds at night, it is best listened to in a quiet room or on headphones. This video is also best watched in HD You will hear the calming sound of water lapping on the lake shore and the gentle sound of wind that periodically builds and then dies away. You will here the meditative sound of a few crickets and frogs serenading in the moonlight as it dances on the water. In the background there are the sounds of deer, coots, you wil hear a fox (a vixen) and you will hear the clicking of bats as they try to sonar in on insects amongst the trees. Enjoy and relax with this special experience. The lake where I filmed this very tranquil scene is called lough Gill, it runs between Counties Leitrim and Sligo in the northwest of Ireland. Enjoy these Amazing Photographs in Tranquil Nature from one of the earths most incredible places, the Antarctic with Atmospheric Sounds, Ambient Music and the thoughts they evoked. These Beautiful Pictures are from a time I traveled on the National Geographic Ship, the endeavor, as we explored some amazing places on this incredible continent. Antarctica is a fluid landscape in a perpetual state of flux, a monochrome region that offers no sense of scale. Instinctually I knew it was vast, although it was only when I stood high above the sea, with our ship, the National Geographic Endeavor, lying silent far below that I had any measure of its proportion. In this environment I was an alien, an artist astutely aware of my presence, frequently finding myself in a meditative contemplation, observing my passage through it. On occasion I found myself surrounded by a crumbling reminder that transient pioneers once lived, worked, sang, danced, played and died here. Their echoed whisperings hanging in the air, their histories and memories transmuted to the few decaying artifacts scattered throughout the rock and ice. Standing on a rocky shore in the half-light between night and day, I gazed upon time exposed in a wall of ice, its sheer face rising a thousand feet above a featureless dark mirror still water. Creaking and groaning until, with a thunderous roar it crumbled crashing into the sea below. Chunks the size of buildings floated by, flaunting pre-history in compacted layers of <b>...</b>
