Got from a friend throgh a clock trade. The door was broken as it arrived here: up.picr.de But I got it all fixed and cleaned. Works perfectly now. The movement is made in germany, the Case made in France. Eau de Junghans :D

I'm just returning to a hobby I enjoyed as a boy with this Junghans Westminster chime bracket clock. Because I don't like working with solvents, I took the movement to pieces and asked a local clockmaker to clean them for me. He did a beautiful job, after which it was a pleasure to reassemble, oil and adjust the movement. This clock belonged to my maternal grandparents and used to live in their "sun parlor." The only blemishes are on the face, which I tried to "clean" when I was just a kid.
German guitarist inspired by namesake Robbie Basho. From the 2006 record "In The Morning Twilight". Buy it! I own no copyright to this material, but am just sharing a sample of the discography of this under-appreciated guitarist and artist.

This Junghans Westminster Chime utilizes four tuned chime rods and a large Cathedral Bell (or Gong) to strike the hours. The resulting sound is a nice mellow distant sounding Westminster Chime juxtaposed with a relatively big, booming hourly strike.
