This is for the benefit of all those people that think KDOC-TV is really cool in having 56.3 run 24/7 music videos. For those of you that get the Digital Channel 56.3 "Bohemia Visual Music" you thank KDOC for having that. But, did you know that KDOC had its own home town video show called "Request Video?" Some of you maybe too young to remember that time in Los Angeles. Back in the late 80s, early 90s. KDOC had an afternoon music video show called "Request Video." There wasn't anything like it on Los Angeles TV. The show was like MTV's "TRL" only years before they stole the idea from you know whom. The show was totally live with no delay. That meant anything could and did happen. Host Gia DeSantis was in the middle trying to keep it together. In November of 1992, Request Video was canceled. On the last broadcast of Request Video, the production staff put together this montage. Its Request Video Swan Song to its audience. A fitting farewell to a one of a kind show.
