Deep Disco, taken from album 'Lost and Found' (2010) The sound of Vienna-based duo dZihan & Kamien (pronounced Jay-hahn and Kammy-en) can easily be compared with the downtempo, soulful house sounds of Jazzanova, P'taah, or the Naked Music compilations. The duo hit popularity in 1996 with the single "Der Buch," which went big in European clubs and made appearances on several compilations. Their full-length album Freaks & Icons was released in late 2000.

dZihan & Kamien Orchestra - Live In Vienna - Drophere (Feat. Ma.Dita + Özden Öksüz)
This album is actually credited to the dZihan & Kamien Orchestra, which may give the wary music consumer pause, but shouldn't. For this very fine live recording, the DJ duo took advantage of a grant offered by the Austrian government (with the purpose of promoting Vienna's "future" music scene) and hired a 22-piece ensemble of musicians from around the globe -- former Miles Davis drummer Sammy Figueroa, a Turkish string section, darbuka player Ahmet Misirli, and many others -- and rehearsed them for a gala live program that was recorded for this CD. The result is wonderful -- not just lively and danceable, though it is both of those things, but also surprisingly elegant and complex. The combination of live instruments from a broad cross section of cultures with a liberal dose of digital electronica and advanced turntablism makes possible a huge variety of moods and textures, from the jazzy Latin roll of "Homebase" to the stuttering soulful hip-hop of "Basmati" (which features guest turntablist DJ Mango) and the exotic world-disco flavor of "Slidub," on which the string players really shine. The overall feel is of a combination dance party and orchestra concert, and it's more fun than three barrels of monkeys. Pieśń powstała jako wyraz hołdu dla ludzi, którzy nie doczekali satysfakcji ze spokojnej starości i nie było im dane cieszyć się normalnym życiem jakiego wszyscy oczekujemy. Szczególnie chciałabym ją zadedykować Podolance Annie, której wspomnienia miały ogromny wpływ na kształt tej pieśni. Kresy Polskie to najboleśniejsza i najtragiczniejsza amputacja wschodniej Polski. Najtragiczniejsza, bo nie zaszyto ran, które krwawią ropiejąc do dziś. Wszystko można spalić, wyciąć i skasować. Nawet pamięć. ALE ZA WSZYSTKO PRZYJDZIE KIEDYŚ ZAPŁACIĆ, BĄDŹ ODPOKUTOWAĆ... Szczególnie chciałabym podziękować użytkownikowi Galedix, który nieopacznie aczkolwiek w decydującej mierze przyczynił się do powstania tej pieśni. To jest taki właśnie przykład, że nic nie jest zwykłym przypadkiem, bo tu wszystko było jakby wydarzało się zgodnie z planem. Sorki za podchorowany i niewyćwiczony głos, ale w tym wypadku liczy się tylko intencja.
