Emerson, Lake & Palmer - Karn Evil 9 *Full Song*

The full version of ELP's "Karn Evil 9". Lyrics: Cold and misty morning, I heard a warning borne in the air About an age of power where no one had an hour to spare, Where the seeds have withered, silent children shivered, in the cold Now their faces captured in the lenses of the jackals for gold. I'll be there I'll be there I will be there. Suffering in silence, they've all been betrayed. They hurt them and they beat them, in a terrible way, Praying for survival at the end of the day. There is no compassion for those who stay. I'll be there I'll be there I will be there. There must be someone who can set them free: To take their sorrow from this odyssey To help the helpless and the refugee To protect what's left of humanity. Can't you see Can't you see Can't you see. I'll be there I'll be there I will be there; To heal their sorrow To beg and borrow Fight tommorow. Step inside! Hello! We've the most amazing show You'll enjoy it all we know Step inside! Step Inside! We've got thrills and shocks, supersonic fighting cocks. Leave your hammers at the box Come Inside! Come Inside! Roll up! Roll up! Roll up! See the show! Left behind the bars, rows of Bishops' heads in jars and a bomb inside a car Spectacular! Spectacular! If you follow me there's a speciality some tears for you to see Misery, misery, Roll up! Roll up! Roll up! See the show! Next upon the bill in our House of Vaudeville We've a stripper in a till What a thrill! What a thrill! And not content with that, with our ...

David Sylvian & Mick Karn - "When Love Walks In"

"Dreams of Reason Produce Monsters" is Mick Karn's second solo album and features him playing a variety of woodwinds and basses, as well as keyboards and drums. "When Love Walks In" is one of the two tracks that feature lyrics and vocals (by David Sylvian, Karn's former bandmate in Japan) are the most memorable. They emphasize the interplay between Karn's sinuous fretless playing and Sylvian's sonorous voice to good effect.

mick karn interview 'talkin' jazz'

one time bass player with the band JAPAN, mick karn is interviewed for a tv programme that i assume was called 'talkin' jazz'. i have no idea what channel it was on or when it was aired but my guess is that it must have been around 1993 and the release of the 'bestial cluster' album. this is one of only a hand-full of interviews that i've ever seen with mick. i hope that someone out there sees and enjoys it.

Rachel Flowers - Karn Evil 9 First Impression (Complete) on the Hammond C3

Thanks to youtube for extending time limits on videos, and to my friend Pedro for teaching me how to make my files smaller, I can now offer you Rachel Flowers playing ELP's Karn Evil 9 First Impression, meeting the Hammond C3 for the very frist time, complete from start to finish with no commercial breaks! Don't mind the tchotchkes flying off the Leslie Speakers - that's part of the show ;) This video was originally posted in two parts: www.youtube.com www.youtube.com On December 12, 2010 Rachel participated in a flute workshop that was held in a home that might rightly be called Keyboard Central. Following the recital, potluck, and sight reading session, our hosts took Rachel on a grand tour to meet the various keyboards lurking throughout the house, which Rachel had a fantastic time trying out. As we were leaving she was asked to play this number in order to give the C3 a good workout, and she happily obliged. I was going to apologize for the amateurish camera work, and other imperfections in this video, but looking at it now, I don't apologize for anything. The joy of the music transcends the imperfections. So please crank up the volume and enjoy with us Rachel's first meeting with a Hammond C3 - complete with breaking glass (vibrated off of the Leslie cabinet), impromptu audience participation, and bad lighting. This video is what it is, and that's a wonderful thing. I'm just glad I was able to capture the moment. jf ps Everyone is invited to sing along!!

Karn Evil 9 1st Impression Part 1

UPDATE (or lack thereof): Thanks everybody for the positive replies and comments! This video, however, is actually quite out of date at this point. I have gone back and fixed a lot of little mistakes and shortcuts I took in this video and gotten at least a little further into the song. I have also added a synthesizer to my setup. Unfortunately, I don't think I'll be able to make a new video until this summer at least, but when I do, I'll have more of this one, plus stuff from the other Impressions, plus a considerable amount of Tarkus to put up. So subscribe or keep your eyes peeled for updates. This is about a quarter of ELP's "Karn Evil 9 1st Impression Part 1". That means that this is about a minute and a half of the full 30 minute song. Just a note about the setup: the sound is NOT coming from those little speakers on the top keyboard, that one is not making any sound at all actually, its just a controller for the Hammond XK-3 on the bottom. I'll get a more professional looking one eventually... Oh yeah, sorry about the bass, its a little buzzy.

DATSIK interview w/ Karn Hall - JuiceTV

Played catch ups with Canadian (not USA as alerted to by myself in the intro piece with 1200 people and a pulsing sound-system distracting me) Dubstep young gun 'Datsik' during his visit to New Zealand 2010. This interview was significantly cut by the editors at the music channel i was working for at the time and wound up very heavily angled towards conservative TV market in its flow with close to 13 minutes of banter being squashed down too just over 6. Some of the more 'fan' material is defiantly lost, my apologies. I would love to host all of the footage Q&A here but it was not something i had access too. For those interested, below is a copy of my original interview questions most of which didnt make this video which was the final cut for television. ___ DATSIK - Industrial sounding futuristic beats So would we call you a Dubstep producer if we had to put it into a box? Dubstep is becoming quite the buzz word of late, how long has Dubstep been big where your from? Do people over 22 tend to get into it? Are you seeing it feature at clubs overseas that have been known perhaps as like 'Electro' or House music bars?, is the acceptance of the pace and sound being assimilated freely? Its kind of love hate here at present. I do a radio show etc and you get adamant fans, then you also get people who seem to really dislike it. How long have you been djing / producing? You have had multiple releases bumping the #1 spot on music sites like beatport.com and chemical-records, what ...
