Olof Arnalds - "Klara" - SXSW 2010 Showcasing Artist
Icelandic folk chanteuse Ólöf Arnalds has been a prominent figure in her native music scene for several years as a member of Múm. However it is Ólöf's solo debut, Við og Við that continues to garner widespread acclaim. Produced by Kjartan Sveinsson from Sigur rós, it won Best Alternative Album at the 2007 Iceland Music Awards as well as Record of the Year at Iceland's largest daily newspaper, Morgunblaðið. Despite release only in Iceland, word of mouth earned Við og Við high profile plaudits in the US including a #38 ranking in Paste Magazine's Top 100 Albums of 2007 and #81 in eMusic's editors Best Albums of 2008 list.

The only trailer "Goodbye Columbus" has... :-) Trailer I made for the film from 1969, starring Richard Benjamin and Ali MacGraw. Based on a novella by Philip Roth and featuring original songs by The Association, "Goodbye Columbus" is about Neil, a poor Bronx librarian, and Brenda, a pampered Jewish princess from Westchester. "Goodbye Columbus" was both MacGraw and Benjamin's film debuts, playing Brenda and Neil as they try to cross class lines. A very funny and poignant comedy.

KLARA takes place in a little town where Klara moves together with her mother after her parents divorce. She feels alienated and has hard time making friends. Most of the girls in Klara's class go horse-back riding, so she joins the riding school to fit in. In order not to reveal that she's a total beginner, Klara is forced to lie, but before she can reign in the lies, she's signed up for a big riding competition... Her salvation comes in the form of Jonte, a boy her own age, who helps her practice in secret on the ugly horse Star that nobody else wants -- but who proves to be a real star after all. A story about the first awkward steps out of childhood, the exciting stirrings of first love, and then about horses of course.
