Dorota Konczewska/Filippo Fano' Sextet the NINA PROJECT : Dorota Konczewska (vocals) Filippo Fano' (piano) Joe O'Callaghan (guitar) Peter Hanagan (electric bass) Alessandro Paternesi (percussion) Giuseppe Torre (electronics) Polish jazz vocalist and composer Dorota Konczewska has been living in Limerick for four years where she has established herself prominently on the local jazz scene., she has been singing since an early age and became interested in improvisation and singing with the use of electronics manipulations. She studied Music Technology at University of Limerick and has been creating sounds as a solo artist, in collaboration with sound artists, dancers, cchoreographers, filmmakers and in band contexts. It was at UL that Dorota met Filippo Fano, Italian jazz pianist, who had graduated with an Honours Degree from Perugia's Morlacchi Conservatory, and they have been working together regularly for some years in different band settings. Fano has studied with renowned Italian musicians like Enrico Pieranunzi, Stefano Bollani, Gabriele Mirabassi, Riccardo Zegna, Stefano Battaglia (ECM artist).
