A Moment with Michelle Krusiec: Reflections on Life as an Actor

During the Intercollegiate Taiwanese American Students Association 2011 Midwest Conference at Northwestern University, TaiwaneseAmerican.org's newest correspondent Esther Hou caught up with actor Michelle Krusiec to talk about her life path and her seasoned acting career. Michelle was first spotted by at a Chinese restaurant, where her parents had her work as punishment for stealing stationary. "My parents didn't have a lot of money," she said, "and I didn't want to ask them for it. So, I took it upon myself to be resourceful." Following this serendipitous encounter with her first agent, Michelle then began training and working to become an actor. She first gained international acclaim when she starred opposite Joan Chen in Saving Face (2004) and landed a Golden Horse nomination for Best Actress. Since then, Krusiec has appeared in a myriad of television shows and films. Her long list of work is a testament to her ability to move seamlessly between comedy and drama. In 2005, TaiwaneseAmerican.org's first Spotlight article featured Michelle Krusiec. Five years later, almost to the day, we're pleased to be able to highlight her updated story through video. So take a look, and enjoy our peek into Michelle's life! Visit: MichelleKrusiec.com http facebook.com
