In the early 70s Lamborghini wanted to design a car that was on the same performance and price level as the Porsche 911 and Ferrari Dino 246. In 1970 on the Turin car show the Lamborghini Urraco was presented to the public, it was a coupe with a powerful rear V8 engine. The self carrying full steel body was typical for the 1970s. In the meantime this car has become very seldom on the road today. Kyosho has replicated this car in scale 18. Originally Lamborghini planned on building 2000 units per year, but from 1972 onwards only 780 cars were delivered in a production span of 10 years. Three versions were offered: The P250 with 220 horse powers, the P200 with 182 horse powers and the P300 with 250 horse powers. The 3 litre V8 engine is mounted in the rear. Just with the original, the Kyosho model shows the luxurious interior in every detail. The design of the Urraco was done by Nuccio Bertone and the Urraco became a design Icon of the 70s.
