Lance Henriksen, who starred in films such as Pumpkinhead, Aliens, The Terminator, and Near Dark, had a Q&A at the Toronto Underground Cinema, after a rare 35mm print screening of Near Dark. It was one of the best and funnyest Q&As I have been to. Sorry about the camera moving a lot during the first couple of minutes. And I couldn't film it all since I can only film for a certain amount of time, which is why it cuts at the end of the vid.

Directed by David A. Prior and stars (*deep breath*) Jeffrey Combs, David Warner, Lance Henriksen, Ashley Lawrence, Joe Don Baker, Leo Rossi and Charles Napier! None of whom are in this clip. This is probably the best part of the movie which has to be THE most implausible escape from a bunch of badguys EVER committed to celluloid. Well, temporary escape anyway.

Created/directed by Matt Pizzolo. For this project we designed a new transmedia filmmaking format called "illustrated film" where we simultaneously create sequential art for a comic book and an animated movie. The animation is strange, but that's the point... and it occasionally breaks out of the sequential art into full 3D-CGI when we think that benefits the story. The goal of illustrated film is to create an adaptable, innovative format where we can experiment with very transgressive stories for small audiences. This isn't designed to be accessible for everyone, quite the reverse. We developed this format around the same time Warner Brothers was developing the Watchmen Motion Comic. I dig motion comics, but the key difference is kind of like the difference between a movie shot in 3D and a 2D movie with a 3D post-conversion... we're not repurposing comics as animation, we're creating something new, different, & weird from the ground up. The legendary Lance Henriksen!!! One of the greatest horror actors, up there with Lon Chaney, Peter Cushing, Bela Lugosi, Michael Ironside, Brad Dourif, Donald Pleasance and Bruce Campbell (to name just a few of the "masters"). Great thanks to Lance Henriksen for being such a wonderful actor and not regarding the horror genre as being beneath his acting skills, as well as being a voice actor for video games. The movies that he has been in and the series "Millennium" have given me hours of viewing interest and enjoyment. Thank you to a very dear old friend for suggesting that I upload this tribute to the song "The Future" by Leonard Cohen - a song that is usually associated with the brilliant movie "Natural Born Killers". tapa

Dead Man - Johnny Depp Storyline Dead Man is the story of a young man's journey, both physically and spiritually, into very unfamiliar terrain. William Blake travels to the extreme western frontiers of America sometime in the 2nd half of the 19th century. Lost and badly wounded, he encounters a very odd, outcast Native American, named "Nobody," who believes Blake is actually the dead English poet of the same name. The story, with Nobody's help, leads William Blake through situations that are in turn comical and violent. Contrary to his nature, circumstances transform Blake into a hunted outlaw, a killer, and a man whose physical existence is slowly slipping away. Thrown into a world that is cruel and chaotic, his eyes are opened to the fragility that defines the realm of the living.
