26min Highlight Show @ UCI MTB WORLD CUP 2011 - Dalby Forest - XCO Round 2

Covered in glorious sunshine once again, the 2011 UCI Cross Country Mountain Bike World Cup started in earnest at Dalby Forest and Great Britain's David Fletcher set a fastest last lap time to finish an impressive sixth in the Men's U23 race. Showing true grit and determination after a tough start, the 22 year old from Nottingham managed to bridge a gap of almost half a minute. Steve James also rode brilliantly, finishing in 30th place after starting 60th on the grid. The day's action got underway with the junior men and women races and Grant Ferguson played his part in an entertaining Men's junior race, riding his way to an impressive fifth position. Bethany Crumpton and Katie Winton weren't far off in the battle for a podium place and both looked in good form, coming in 4th and 6th respectively. The day ended as over 200 riders took their place on the start line in Dalby Dare, getting their chance to ride the course in World Cup conditions and tackle the award winning course with the jaw dropping challenges of Dixon's Hollow, Worry Gill and Medusa's Drop. A big crowd is expected to descend on Dalby Forest again today as the World's best battle it out for world cup supremacy. Great Britain's Annie Last will be hoping the thrill of racing on home soil will spur her on to a good finish and Liam Killeen will be hoping to make an impression against the likes of Julian Absalon, Nino Schurter and world champion Jose Hermida. Lee Williams caught third place and Chris Minter got back to fourth from eighth on the first lap. Steve James made a very respectable fifth for a Junior rider. The course was a big hit with all riders and promises great racing for the BMBS National Race on 9th May 2010.

Inter Area Team Championships 2010 -Senior

The final race of the day saw senior and junior riders battle it out for the title. It soon became clear that this was going to be a two way affair between Paul Oldham and Liam Killeen, with Oldham still smarting from his defeat at the last round of the Trophy series. The pressure was constant, with no margin for error and it came down to a thrilling sprint finish, where Killeen once again deprived Oldham of the win. With Rob Jebb - North West picking up 3rd the wait was on to find out who had claimed the overall. West Midlands scooped top prize with a young team pulling out all the punches narrowly snatching victory from the North West. Liam Killeen & Paul Oldham both give us their views on the race, along with the guys of the West Midlands team.
