'War for Libyan oil planned long ago, no one cares about people'

WAR RACKET Gaddafi Ordered Oil Companies To Pay Libya's $1.5b Over CIA's Lockerbie Bombing

How To Go To Heaven: www.jesus-is-savior.com www.nytimes.com Shady Dealings Helped Qaddafi Build Fortune and Regime By ERIC LICHTBLAU, DAVID ROHDE and JAMES RISEN Published: March 24, 2011 WASHINGTON — In 2009, top aides to Col. Muammar el-Qaddafi called together 15 executives from global energy companies operating in Libya's oil fields and issued an extraordinary demand: Shell out the money for his country's $1.5 billion bill for its role in the downing of Pan Am Flight 103 and other terrorist attacks. If the companies did not comply, the Libyan officials warned, there would be "serious consequences" for their oil leases, according to a State Department summary of the meeting. Many of those businesses balked, saying that covering Libya's legal settlement with victims' families for acts of terrorism was unthinkable. But some companies, including several based in the United States, appeared willing to give in to Libya's coercion and make what amounted to payoffs to keep doing business, according to industry executives, American officials and State Department documents. The episode and others like it, the officials said, reflect a Libyan culture rife with corruption, kickbacks, strong-arm tactics and political patronage since the United States reopened trade with Colonel Qaddafi's government in 2004. As American and international oil companies, telecommunications firms and contractors moved into the Libyan market, they discovered that Colonel Qaddafi or his loyalists often ...

Libyan Oil Workers Continue Strike

Nearly 80 workers at the Waha Oil company in Libya have been protesting for seven consecutive weeks as the oil and finance ministry overturned their deal with the national oil company to eliminate the venture's management. The workers were demonstrating outside the ministry's office on Wednesday, blaming their managers of colluding with Qaddafi. The employees refused to return to the war-torn oil fields as long as the current management remains in office. "We are calling for the return to production as soon as possible," said Ahmed al-Mahmoudi, a protester. "We are very cautious to rebuild our country in a new way and we don't want to see the same names and figures that used to exist in the reign of Muammar Qaddafi, even for an interim period. Because it is disrespectful to the blood of the martyrs who have sacrificed their lives," he said. On Tuesday the decision to replace the chairman and deputy of the company was overturned. Waha, which produces a quarter of the country's crude output, has had to deal with production problems because of the ongoing war in Libya. Workers say that two of its fields, Dahra and Samah, are in good shape and that production would soon resume, resulting in a harvest of 180000 barrels a day. Rebel Order: Libya for Libyans, Oil for West?

Libya's new rebel leaders are seeking to restore order in Tripoli, encouraging fighters to return home. The National Transitional Council will move to the capital from its stronghold of Benghazi within the next week. Although, Colonel Gaddafi remains at large and some parts of the country are still under the control of his loyalist fighters. NATO continues aerial strikes on Gaddafi troops near his home city of Sirte, saying the UN mandate to protect civilians still stands. The coalition's also moving to release billions of dollars of the former leader's frozen assets, to fund reconstruction. And while most Libyans are enjoying the first taste of revolutionary freedom, there are some accusations that NATO states are looting the vast oil riches. Demonized from the beginning: Libya, oil and colonel Muammar Gaddafi (Documentary film, 1972)

Colonel Muammar el-Qaddafi. In the deluge of mud spilled by the Western media to tarnish his memory, the same false accusations are repeated over and over, showing in fact that the media hold very little incriminating evidence that could have been used against him. A case in point is the La Belle discotheque bombing in Berlin (5 April 1986, three killed), which was used as a pretext by the Reagan administration to bomb Gaddafi's palace and kill his daughter (April 14, 1986, at least 50 dead). At the time, German prosecutor Detlev Mehlis (the same one who two decades later would rig the investigation into the assassination of Rafik al-Hariri) relied on the testimony of Musbah Abdulghasem Eter to indict a Libyan diplomat and his accomplice Mohammed Amairi. However, German television channel ZDF subsequently discovered that Musbah Abdulghasem Eter was not only a false witness but also a real CIA agent, while bomb planter Mohammed Amairi was a Mossad agent [1]. Another example is the Lockerbie bombing (21 December 1988, 270 killed): the investigators identified the owner of the suitcase containing the bomb and the timer thanks to the testimony of a Maltese shopkeeper who had sold the pair of trousers also located in the booby-trapped suitcase. At that point, the Scottish authorities brought charges against two Libyan agents, Abdel Basset Ali Mohmed Al Megrahi and Al Amin Khalifa Fhimah, while the Security Council took sanctions against Libya. Inhuman NATO War Against Oil Rich Libya Will Go To History As "Act of International Terrorism"

The North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) is being heavily criticized for civilian casualties and a series of bombings apparently targeting essential non-military infrastructure in Libya, with most human rights observers calling the NATO actions as war crimes and crimes against humanity. Mahdi Darius Nazemroaya with the Centre for Research on Globalization said civilians in Tripoli and other major Libyan cities were bombed "indiscriminately by NATO" in recent month. Left along outgoing massacre in Tripoli, "In Zliten, 85 people were killed including 33 children, 32 women, and 20 men as a result of NATO's deliberate targeting of residential areas and civilian infrastructure," he wrote, posting a dozen pictures showing the aftermath of the attack, which he called "photographic evidence of NATO war crimes." International human rights groups also raised questions about the bombings. "NATO continues to stress its commitment to protect civilians," said Amnesty International's Hassiba Hadj Sahraoui in a statement. "To that effect, it should thoroughly investigate all incidents in which civilians were reportedly killed in western Libya as a result of air strikes." In addition to the thousands of "collateral damage" deaths so far, NATO is also under fire for air strikes on civilian infrastructure. On July 25, the Associated Press reported that the international coalition bombed a hospital, leaving several doctors dead. Another infrastructure attack that drew international ...

Why Libya? 'Oil, gold, uranium, weapons tests mean long conflict in US plans'

The war of intervention in Libya is yet another American illegal adventure, argues Keith Harmon Snow, an independent war correspondent. The objective, he says, secured access to Libya's significant oil supply, other mineral resources and defense testing. He says the argument of humanitarianism and stopping a "warlord" was a absolute nonsense. If that argument were true, he contends, there are far more brutal war criminals in African countries the US could have chosen to target. RT on Facebook: www.facebook.com RT on Twitter: twitter.com

NATO's Barbaric "Regime Change" in Oil Rich Libya Surpasses Sadistic Cruelty of Medieval Ages

At face value, the tenuous narrative of a struggling, desperate NATO confounded by months of fierce resistance on all fronts and an increasingly brutal and transparently atrocious proxy army on the ground in Libya, suddenly wringing victory from what was essentially a catastrophic failure, is difficult to believe. This, especially as NATO desperately needs to turn its full attention toward Syria as the window of its imperial ambitions quickly closes forever. Already, claims that Muammar Qaddafi's son Saif al-Islam had been captured have turned out to be admittedly false, Reuters finally admits, even after an elaborate tale had already begun spreading through the biased, irresponsible corporate-driven Western media. It must also be kept in mind that bold lies have punctuated NATO's impotent attempts at sweeping their proxies into power, including perhaps the most brazen war propaganda in modern history, the NATO bombardment of Tripoli. Similarly, Qaddafi's entire command structure was reported either dead or captured. Most notably was the "confirmation" of Saif al-Islam Qaddafi's capture by the International Criminal Court, who claimed not only was his capture confirmed, but that the ICC was already in the process of preparing his transfer to the Hague. The propaganda operation succeeded to a limited extent, allowing otherwise incapable rebel forces to sweep into the capital and gain permanent holdings there. However Saif al-Islam would turn up very much free, and still ...

While Illegally Destroying Libya Over Oil, Obama Won't Bomb Israel To End Brutal Occupation

A UN official has confirmed that Israel's occupation forces have killed more than 1300 Palestinian children during the last decade. According to Prof. Richard Falk, the UN Special Rapporteur for Human Rights in the occupied Palestinian territories, Israeli forces killed 1335 children in direct military operations and arbitrary shootings. He pointed out that 17 children were killed in 2010 alone while collecting stones in the borders areas between Gaza and Israel. They were attempting to help their families rebuild their homes. Israel continues to prevent the import of building material into the Strip without any charge. The UN official who is prevented by Israel from entering the territories to carry out his duties said the prolongation of the occupation's blockade of Gaza and its human rights violations would further damage the mental and physical health of children in the Strip. Falk called on the UN to intensify its efforts to ensure that Israel adheres to international law, emphasising that its persistent failure to do so indicates a programme of systematic killing of Innocent civilians, including children and racial discrimination against the Palestinians. /// Israel accelerates rate of killing Palestinians in early 2011 by Yaniv Reich. The Real News: NATO Attacking Libya for Oil or GOLD?

Uploaded by mmt2k9 on May 6, 2011 Some believe it is about protecting civilians, others say it is about oil, but some are convinced intervention in Libya is all about Gaddafi's plan to introduce the gold dinar, a single African currency made from gold, a true sharing of the wealth. "It's one of these things that you have to plan almost in secret, because as soon as you say you're going to change over from the dollar to something else, you're going to be targeted," says Ministry of Peace founder Dr James Thring. "There were two conferences on this, in 1986 and 2000, organized by Gaddafi. Everybody was interested, most countries in Africa were keen." BP got Libyan oil deal for the Lockerbie Pan Am Flight 103 bomber's release

For Freedom Forums - figh.tk Peter Dow's website - http WASHINGTON (AP)-- The four senators from New Jersey and New York are asking the State Department to investigate whether oil giant BP played a role in winning last year's release of the man convicted of the Lockerbie airliner bombing. The four on Tuesday requested the probe a day after asking the department to press the British government to look into the circumstances of Abdel Baset al-Megrahi's release. He was released on compassionate grounds after doctors said the cancer-stricken Libyan man had only three months to live. A doctor now says al-Megrahi could live for another decade. Democrats Kirsten Gillibrand and Charles Schumer of New York and Frank Lautenberg and Robert Menendez of New Jersey say they are concerned by reports that BP helped secure al-Megrahi's release in order to finalize a $900-million offshore oil drilling deal with Libya. The 4000 Km long water pipeline barried underneath the desert . $ 25 Billion has already been invested into this project, and not one penny has came from the IMF or the World Bank. In other words Gaddafi didnt allow his people to fall into debt, from there would be no way out and Guess who didnt like that ? Scientist estimate that there is an equivalant of 200 - 1000 years of fresh water flowing down the Nubian Sandstone Aquifer . This Pipeline and Aquifer has been owned by the libyan people and not by Veolia , Suez Ondeo or Saur , the French companies who control more than 40% of the worlds water market . Remember Which Country Was The Fastest to Attack Libya? Just Pure Evil and Greed.
