I just came home with these new pickups installed in my guitar. They are brand new pickups from Dimarzio which were made custom for John Petrucci's Ernie Ball signature model guitars. I swapped out an EMG 81 and 85 that I had in my guitar for 15 + years. The pickups were professionally installed in my '92 Jackson Kelly Professional model guitar. I had the luthier screw the pickups directly into the body of my guitar and had a push/pull pot installed to split both pickups into single coils. I basically started recording right when I got home and this is just a little improv playing. I am running straight from my guitar into an M-Audio Fast Track Ultra and then into my computer. I am running Logic Express and the guitar tones are coming from Amplitube metal.

this here is a 81 John Deere Liquifire 440 I bought for 100.00,It needed a new ignition coil. I now have 175.00 into the sled. It runs awesome and its good enough for giving my little boy rides. The pipes sound good, not too loud. I also added a gas shock to the rear, so it rides fair for a 27 year old sled. The track is spinning on the slippery concrete floor.

Dimarzio Crunchlab (Bridge): The Crunch Lab™ is noteworthy (bad pun alert!) for what it doesn't do - it's not a screamer, and it's not about thundering lows. Its physical appearance is identical to the D Sonic™, but the internal design is a lot different. It's louder, and the highs have more depth. The lows and mids are more open, and this is crucial for playing chords with body and presence through a gained-out amp. The voicing of the pickup is also different enough to the point that John prefers the Crunch Lab™ to be installed in almost all of his guitars (including the JP Bari) with the solid bar toward the neck, regardless of the guitar's tuning.
