This was an extremely rough night for me but I made it through. All my comedy friends and books all said "Get up on a stage and bomb. It's good experience." Well I think I came damn close to that here lol So don't expect much folks :) This one is just for posterity. This is my second time doing stand up on a stage and I am also the MC so it's very loose. I have edited various points in the night into this small montage. My first appearance had a great turn out and went perfectly with almost non stop laughs for about 20 minutes but unfortunately didn't get recorded. That first show got a lot more interesting when the management came to me shortly before it and told me I had to do a clean show. Something which is not usually my style and scared the crap outta me. None then less, I fulfilled the obligation and it went quite well. The same restrictions were in place for this, the second, show. This means, none of my usual topics. Most of the people in this theater and in the show as well are pretty hard core Christian, Republican, old, church folks. Many of the acts in both my first and second shows, featured kids and religious music. My usual topics of religion, politics, tolerance, racism, separation of church and state, gay rights, women's rights, sexuality, profanity and various other edgy commentaries on modern society were completely off limits. You will see all sorts of spots where I am speechless and spinning in my own mind while self editing the things I want to say <b>...</b>
