London Heathrow Airport's innovative new Ultra POD transport system connects Terminal 5 with the airport's extensive Business Car Park areas. The British-developed system is one of the first examples of new personal rapid transit technology that could benefit many parts of the world in the future. Each pod is designed to carry up to four people and their luggage (including pushchairs and bulky items) in temperature-controlled comfort. The pods do not require a ticket and are free to use. They operate on an 'on demand' basis, so there is no waiting around for timetabled services, and no stops along the way. Just jump in and go! The futuristically-styled pods are driverless and self-steering, and run automatically along designated tracks (called 'glideways'). They are electrically powered and travel on rubber wheels, giving a smooth quiet ride. A central computer monitors demand and ensures that pods are available at the right places at the right time. The Heathrow glideways are approximately 2.4 miles (3.8 km) long, and the journey time from Terminal 5 to the Business Car Park areas is about five minutes. Various Heavy departures off of RWY 09R at London Heathrow Airport on a damp foggy morning on Monday 21st November 2011! Due to extremely dense fog the previous evening and indeed early that morning there were huge delays and many cancellations (mainly on shorthaul flights to europe and around the UK, but some long haul flights were also affected) resulting in a very busy morning for "heavy" longhaul departures some which should have left the previous evening but couldn't! This was the most I've ever seen a continuous row of heavy departures on average it was about 7 or 8 heavies to every 1 narrow body aircraft which was brilliant for filming! At 1 stage there was a point of about 25 -30 mins where there was no short-haul aircraft at all! Another thing I noticed was the que at the far end of the runway for aircraft waiting to take off was much shorter than it usually is, the Qantas A380 only took 12 mins from leaving the stand to being airbourne which is amazing on heathrow's standards! Some of the aircraft included are: Virgin Atlantic 747's, A340-600 & A340-300, BA 747's, 777's and 767's, Cathay Pacific 747, Singapore A380, Qantas A380, Air China A330, BMI A330, Air Canada A330 & 767, American Airlines and united 777's and much, much more!!! This is taken when they arrived from Belfast, they signed a few autographs before heading to the lift! I didn't get anything signed by them, cos I was trying to film and my album got stuck but I was so happy to see them in real life. TOP and Taeyang signed their autographs for fans~ Seungri was so hidden.. It was so nice to see Daesung smile, especially after all that's happened. So I'm glad he smiled when we saw him~ made me not getting a autograph a bit better :) I saw them depart but my camera refused to turn on so I couldn't film it :(

★ Watch In 1080p HD! ★ British Airways Boeing 777-300ER registration G-STBC Landing on Runway 27L London Heathrow Airport (LHR), UK, during sunrise on 13/4/12 operating flight BA 0066 from Philadelphia International Airport (PHL), USA. Filmed from seat 46K. Video includes view above clouds, approach, touchdown and taxiing towards the gate and terminal with announcements. As mentioned in the takeoff video from Philadelphia, the return flight back to London Heathrow was not from New York JFK... This is because flight BA 116 was cancelled for some unknown reason, meaning we had to be booked onto flight BA 0066 from Philadelphia and lose a few hours of time. It was worth it in the end as Philadelphia Airport is very nice and I have now been on both a B747-400 and a B777-300ER on 1 trip to the USA! The weather was dry, cloudy and very foggy, but still with some sunshine on ground levels. We arrived Terminal 5C at Gate 53. The scheduled gate arrival was 06:20am (local time), where as the actual gate arrival was 06:15am, which was 5 minutes ahead of schedule. The aircraft disembarked around 5 minutes later. A selection of the incredible and varied cocktail of international traffic that graces London's Heathrow on a daily basis. This footage is compiled from footage which I shot of takeoffs and landing on runway 27 Left at London Heathrow Airport on June 29th 2011. I've taken these pieces of footage from pieces of video which on their own weren't sufficiently good to publish. Hence I've take the "best bits" from them and put them all together into this clip which I hope you'll enjoy.
