Nobody, however, can do it like Jimpster. This single is his first (remixes notwithstanding) output since Sleeper last year, and he doesn't disappoint. A pedigree in jazz, both from his family and from his early, ambient jungle-based productions, has given him not only a talent with the more tonal, soulful side of dance, but also the ability to produce this type of stuff in an interesting, innovative way. The single's A side is definitely its highlight. A steel drum-flavoured pattern bounces around playfully, and shimmering cascades of fizzing build, recede, build, recede, then build and build—and then the whole thing drops into silence, before exploding gently into a cloud of coloured bubbles. It's lovely and funky in equally large measures. A choppy backbeat, similar to the one in "Alsace" but less driving, pushes "Inside the Loop." Jazzy chords oscillate, and a warm, brief bass motif repeats without variation—but these are only a foundation for the other features which come and go within an improvised, ad-hoc structure. Raw, late '80s handclaps, a glass escalator of an arpeggio and a kind of skipping CD voice effect all make an appearance, not to mention the more subtle elements in the pastiche which all drop in and out to give the track its interest. A tribute to the jewel of my hometown / Dédié au joyau de ma ville natale. I hope you enjoy watching the photographs ! The Place Stanislas, known colloquially as the place Stan', is a large pedestrianized square in Nancy, Lorraine, France. Since 1983, it has been on the list of UNESCO World Heritage Sites. Construction began in 1752 and ended in 1755, under the order of the Duke of Lorraine, Stanlislas Leszczyński (Louis XV's father-in-law) . A bronze statue of Louis XV stood in the middle of the square until it was removed during the Revolution and was replaced in 1831 with a bronze statue of Stanislas. The square is surrounded by the City Hall of Nancy, the Opéra-Theâtre, the Grand Hôtel and the Fine Arts Museum. La place Stanislas, appelée familièrement place Stan', située à Nancy en Lorraine, France, est inscrite au patrimoine mondial de l'Unesco. Voulue par le duc de Lorraine Stanislas Leszczyński (beau-père du roi), elle a été construite entre 1751 et 1755. Principaux bâtiments qui ceinturent la place: Hôtel de Ville, Hôtel de la Reine, Opéra-Théâtre, Musée des Beaux-Arts. Au centre de la place se trouve une statue de Stanislas réalisée en 1831. Elle a remplacé une statue de Louis XV qui avait été détruite pendant la Révolution.
