Fixing and adjusting the tremolo on a Fender Japan Jaguar. This Jag was purchased used and the whammy bar needed some minor repairs. As you will see, the trem unit is pretty simple and self contained. The repairs and adjustments are quite easy. Feel free to ask any questions if I didnt cover something. Cutoff switch and cutoff bypass. This video is a high level view of installing a cut off switch into a Fender Jaguar. I didnt go into the actual soldering steps, if need be, I can make an amendment. Let me know. Or I can direct you to the vids I learned from. A cut off switch is a fun addition to any guitar. Just ask Buckethead. Add a bypass and it becomes safe. Like a condom. Rock safe!

This is just a quick video I made to illustrate the sound of a non-synchro first gear in an Austin Healey Sprite / MG Midget. This is the first car I've worked on, and I'm slowly in the process of restoring it. As it stands at the moment, it is a 'driver'... but there is still more work to be done. I'll be reposting this video into an MG forum to get opinions on whether the sound of my non-synchro first gear is louder or more violent than normal... and also whether it sound like it could be slipping. The 'stuttering' sound of the gear is most noticeable on the 4th time I start from a dead stop. Plus, it's just fun to look at videos of Spridgets on youtube!

This is just a quick test of the guitar. I know i've promised a proper test for a long time... and this is not it. I will work out the sound issues shortly and have a real video up soon. Please excuse any sound flubs... its not totally "true" what comes through on this video... and the fading in and out of the volume is obviously the auto leveling on the camera. More to come soonish. My amp JUST got a 'ring'...not a buzz, or hum, or hiss. When I tap on the control plate it seems to make it ring louder, and almost makes it's own tone when i tap it. To try and clearly describe the issue I'll list the symptoms, and what I have tried and what I have noticed, and what settings I have already tried to troubleshoot. Things to point out: -The amp "rings"...not so much a hum, or buzz, or a hiss. -The 'ring' is similar to the start of a clean guitar feeding back. -When I tap on the control panel it gets louder. -Cant tell if I have a bad tube. -Volume levels pointed out in the video. (it rings regardless) -Nothing is plugged into the amp. -The noise occurs regardless of the knob settings. -I DO have a dimmer in my room, but it has never done this before (3 years) -The tubes are stock. (maybe 5 years old...not run hard) -The cut knob does create a mean buzz when turned up.
