Luo - Rocks are ancestors watching over Luoland.

Rocks are the ancestors of the Luo. The Luo say that when they die they turn into rocks. Therefore, it is no surprise that rocks are respected and never disturbed in any way. Rocks are thus the ancestors who watch over Luoland.

Luo Medicinal Plants (Yiend Nyaluo)

Knowledge of medicinal plants is a must for everybody in Luoland. People learn the names and remedies of plants by heart. A Luo is expected to point at a plant with his/her index finger so that the person who has asked for it can not only know its physical appearance but also keep that knowledge for others who might need it. It is the person in need of the medicinal plant who must pick or uproot it from the ground. It means that nobody can claim to be the medicineman or ask for payment for any medicinal plant. Above all, if someone with medicinal knowledge dies, millions others (every Luo) are alive to tell the name and point a finger at the plant so that the person in need may pick, cut or uproot it.

Okatch Biggy: Hellena Wang'e Dongo 1

Okatch's artistry reclaimed benga, rejuvinated her from her then relative dormancy and, in this period, his sales and popularity outstripped the ever in lingala (rhumba-soukous) in Luoland. Hoardes of benga fans would flock to Junction Inn, and soon Heka Heka was filling up stadiums across the land. Agricultural shows became Okatch Biggy shows. Scheduled secretly for Homa Bay {Tourist Hotel] one time, word leaked and the organisers of the would-be intimate gig were soon confronted by a surging crowd in excess of 70 thousand! It became a free gig, Biggy going home penniless! but 70 thousand benga fans created wind currents strong enough spin the great AWACS, as they sang along in the chorus of this song: Biggy tinde owara --Sianda madongo aweyo, Okatch; Wang'gi-Dongo aweyo...: ALEEEMO! Biggy owara.... GIKOOORO Joroho koro...! So, my dear jahera-benga, have a feat in nostalgia and sing along. I have tried to paste the words within bearable accuracy further on in the upload.
Omollo Kondigo -Awuor nyar Ugenya

Kiwiro 'B' Band is the lable here. I am not sure whether Kondigo once starred alongside Cheplin Kotula in the one time famous Kiwiro Boys Band, a powerful Benga outfit in the mid 70s. Historians of Benga, please enlighten! Koso Mbariariany Maseno kanyo onge ajuoga mokawo 'phd', otas mar somo mong'inyore mogik, e sigand benga?
