According to recent news, Jerry Lewis will no longer be associated with the Muscular Dystropy Association (MDA) Labor Day telethon and will no longer be the chairman of MDA. This video is dedicated to Jerry as an effort to honor him for his untiring efforts in fighting muscular dystrophy and to thank him for raising almost two and one half BILLION dollars to help MDA win that fight. This is a short documentary about Freddie, done for the 2007 Jerry Lewis MDA telethon, narrated by Bill Balleza of KPRC TV Houston. I never knew Freddie the way he was in all the other videos I've posted, but have had the honor of transferring his old VHS's to DVD, and gotten quite the history lesson. The Freddie you see in this documentary is the only one that I've ever known. He was just losing his ability to walk, in late '06. He's now weaker and thinner than when this was filmed, and can no longer hold his head up as well or speak as clearly, but he's still here and his spirit's pretty big.
