All in all it took us 3400 kilometres by car to get to Skopje and then back home to Berlin. This video gives you an impression of the experiences we acquired in the meantime. We were crossing 4 borders and travelled Germany, Czech Republic, Hungary, Serbia and Macedonia to participate in Macedonia's first Reggae festival "Big Up SK" taking place in the capital Skopje. We stopped by in Budapest to meet Ephraim Juda's guitarist Boti who was on vacation to visit his parents. Macedonian was great. We met so many sympathic people it was a pleasure and to that extent totally unexpected. On Saturday we attended General Levy's concert and were partying to Mika's selection and and on Sunday Ephraim Juda was entering the stage. As we run further and explore the countryside, we realize that running can literally take us places we have never been before. While running, we can get lost in our own thoughts, dream about the future, or just clear our minds. While in Macedonia, I have realized that we can run anywhere and the results are the same. A short movie about our journey on recumbent bikes through Western Balkan. We travelled unsupported on recumbents through Montenegro, Albania, Kosova and Macedonia also on roads were asphalt was only our dream. We visited the Cemi river valley, Theti National Park, water dam Komanit where we used also the ferry, Valbona valley and than in Kosova the twon of Prizren, Sharplanina mountains and we finished after 23 days in Macedonian capital Skopje. Macedonia Shocks Lithuania 67-65 EuroBasket 2011 Macedonia pulled off a shocking upset in the EuroBasket 2011 quarterfinals on Wednesday, knocking off the host Lithuania 67-65 as American-born guard Bo McCalebb, who played college ball at the University of New Orleans and has never sniffed the NBA, scored 23 points. Macedonia advances to the semifinals of EuroBasket, just one win away from the 2012 London Olympics. McCalebb became a Macedonian national a couple of years ago while plying his trade in Europe. (He now plays for Montepaschi Siena in Italy's Serie A.) The Bobby Jackson clone has drawn attention as one of the most explosive scorers in European play, and Wednesday was no exception. Lithuania was considered a favorite in the tournament thanks to the home-court advantage and a new generation of talent (including Raptors pick Jonas Valanciunas). Powered by www.junioreurovision.tv. Anja Veterova was born on the 13th of August, 1999, in Skopje. She's a fifth grader in Skopje and fourth year student in a music school where she plays the piano. "I wanted to sing, dance and act since I was a small child. I sang my first song Stork" when I was only four," she says. She's participated in numerous festivals in Serbia, Ukraine and Italy. In 2006 Andja was dancing in the ballet performance Esmeralda where she played the role of the little Esmeralda. "My biggest wish was to present my country on the Junior Eurovision Song Contest and my dream came true with the victory of the national selection of a song for the contest," Anja says. Her song EOOO, EOOO (Magic Song) is an autobiographical song where she sings about her voyages around the world with a song. "I travel around the world with my song, the world gets to know me and I get to know the world," the young singer explains. She spends her free time with her piano, bike, Nintendo and she also learns English and plays with her friends. "Singing makes me happy because I love make new friends around the world," the FYR Macedonian young star adds.
